Designed for helicopters with 8mm shafts. The Turnigy Swashplate Tool will enable you to align your swashplate with the frame of your helicopter with much more accuracy than can be done by eye.
I purchased this product and measured by myself because it arrived. The radius of this leveller was 26.5 millimeters. The radius suited the swash plate of Hurricane550.
I got one of each size recently, I think last month. They come into stock regular enough but are sucked up pretty quickly. Put it on an e mail reminder for when stock arrives and you should get one soon
the 10mm just became available so with any luck the 8mm will also here in the near future.. then i'll be able to set up all my helis i just did my 450's and the 10mm is already on its way. and this is the last one i need

Thanks 'ragamofyn', you are correct, I just checked. They should say that in the description. I'm going to get one for my bog standard HK-500.
Can someone explain exactly how to use this thing - perhaps a link to a thread on the forums here or HeliFreak or RC Groups. I can't see how to put it on shaft without pulling the head to pieces, which kind of defeats the purpose!?
Hey Bill. You'll have to pull apart your head, I'm afraid. The tool's purpose is to help you adjust your servo-to-swashplate ball links so that the swashplate is exactly level. My suggestion is to take off the main gear, pull out the head, and drop in a spare main shaft. Then slide the tool down the shaft so that the three "legs" sit on the top of each ball-link. When your swashplate is perfectly level, the legs will be in contact with each ball-link. Once that's done, re-place the head and main gear and your swashplate will be perfectly level. Cheers, Victor.
It's not that bad to pop of the ead and use this little tool OK it's normaly three links and a jesus bolt or somtimes two and then slip it out of the gear set*admitadly on a nitro bird it's a little more effort but hey the benafits of loosing that skirmy interaction when you punch it up into the wild blue yonder is great believe me,like flipping it over and watching it track upside down stright as an arrow "fantastic to watch"
if you go through the hand tools menu you will find there is a silver one, a blue one and a HK450 pro one. All of them are for a 5mm shaft and will work but the silver one and maybe the blue one on a alloy swash plate needs to be trimmed on the inside with a sharp knife so that it doesn't touch the balls. Hope you like
The description isn't very precise: the swashplate needs to be aligned with the main shaft, which is exactly what this tool does, not with the frame. Usually it's just the same.
I've got the hk450 version of this tool and it does a good job and improves the flight experience if used properly.
