Will these batteries provide enough punch for a 4x4 Slash - either stock Velineon or a 4-pole Castle SCT combo?

Yes, and they work great. I picked up three last year for my Velineon 4x4 Slash and was very impressed. Run time was around 30-45 minutes per pack.

the wire is 10g its hard to change the plugs i would take it to a hobby shop and have them do it....

Hey I ordered one of these and just to make sure I checked the back sticker and the recommended charge rate said no more than 1c. A battery with this high of a discharge rate should be able to charge a little more than that right? Was this just applied with the wrong sticker? If it is indeed a 1c charge then it's not going to be able to discharge at a high rate it's advertised at! Thanks

I have that sticker on a thunder power that can be charged at 6c. On the front it says 6c, the back says 1. I think it's a safety sticker they are required to put on. The website says that battery can be charged at 3c. I just ordered one myself.

Hi there.I just recieved 2 of these packs.It does say to not charge over 1c but the way they perform in my Jammin scrt10 says they are kicking *30c.I also have 3 Turnigy packs of the same capacity and the Zippys perform just as well in my opinion.

To my understanding 1c is a general industry safety rule. It is kind of a pain that it means al lipos take an hour to charge. I got 2 of these in march 2011, I charge them at 1c and they stay perfectly cold.

I have 4 of these batterys and they work great. The 1c charge rate is just to be safe the discharge is still 30c

No, Lipo's are not waterproof.

No Lipos are completely waterproof

i wouldn't push your luck. Just put shoe goo around where the wires go into the battery and around the seam where the two halves of the case go together and you should be ok.

No,I don't believe these are waterproof.The circuit board inside is critical to moisture.Soaking these in mud or water will most likely damage them.

No, but it would be easy to put a "long thin tear-resistant usually latex" balloon over them. If you catch my drift.

they are water resistant not water proof, if you go to your local hardware store you can buy some liquid tape and seal all the seams

Most batteries require some sort of venting. Keep that in mind. There may be heat issues.

I bought 4, one of them puffed. the other 3 are working well. Use them in my Motley Crew electric boat, brushless motor. Hard on batteries. Drains a pair of 5,000mah in about 5 minutes!

Lucky to live in WA. I placed my order on Monday and received them on Wed. I run a pair of these in my Traxxas Summit. All I can say is wow. They provide more torque and top speed than the stock 8.4v nimh batteries. These are a great upgrade if you're looking for a little more performance than nimh batteries.

Just picked up 2 of these to go along with my 3 Turnigy 30c packs.
I run them in my Jammin SCRT10 with the Ballistic 4.5 motor and MM pro ESC.The performance is great,Plenty of bang!,Run time is on par with the Turnigy packs and Recharge time at 1C is quite rapid.I would highly recommend these to anyone looking for a great pack at reasonable price.
You can't go wrong with Zippys!!!

Absolutely astounding battery in the Rustler. First time out I had to check to make sure I hadn't mixed it up with my 3S zippy. Fully capable of power wheelies at speed and flipping the car over due to tire ballooning during cookies! :) Fits tight in the newest (GRAY) Rustler chassis. Had to trim back some battery box reinforcements in my son's old chassis (black) Rustler.
