Can I use this Servo Tester to vary the speed of Brushless motor without the radio?
 Creater 3 points
I thought connect two bateries in parallel, but this Servo have two wires (black and red),ok? I believe that they'll be connected to batery, then, if to use two bateries, then, are connected two wires from ESC to one batery and two wires from Servo to other batery?
I want to use two bateries 22.2v each =44.4v.
May you help me, please?
 Rottweiler.ve 2 points
1st question Yes, you can connect the esc to the Servo Tester. 2nd question I don't have understood a word.
 Creater 3 points
I would like know about thouse two wires "black and red" of the Servo, they are connected in battery?

Hello to all! You can connect this device to a battery with esc motor to test? Thanks to all! nik

I would like to thank you for your answer. This is very helpful sence i am new to the elet.part of the hobbie and this forum.

Pleasure. But the (signal)quality of this servo tester is not the best. Take the Turnigy servo tester if you don't worry the box.
charles  1 points - 11/28/2012

on the sku hksst servo tester. can you use this tester on my esc to test brusless motors? Thanks
 Markus 4 points
Yes, you can. Signals are same for servo und esc.

ok...I have 1, what the hell do I do with it?? I was hoping I could set the servo "throw" each way past centre? (assuming that is possible?) Hopefully someone knows how? Am running straight off 7.4v lipo, 1 button press and the servo stops , 2 button press and it cycles, led's do whatever they feel like As far as being worth the money aditya, are you serious?>?? $4 isnt exactly the family inheritance and its good value for the flashing lights and twiddly knob and some wires.....
 Kiwi_fulla 253 points
I have one of these. if you look at the picture... the top 3 pins are the servo pins thn - then Signal .... =connect your servo on there.... the nex two pins are where you plug in 5V power. and -..... then you can press the button for centering then again for manual control with POT and the third press will auto cycle and you turn the knob to speed it up and slow it down. hope this helps

Thanks Kiwi, after a bit more research I discovered what the LED's signify. The instructions under the files tab arent exactly thorough!
 Kiwi_fulla 253 points
I agree... Perhaps I should put a youtube vid there to show people how to use it and set it all up?

HERE IS MY TUTORIAL ON HOW TO SET IT UP

Is this servo tester worth the money that it comes at .Can Manual adjustment of this is possible ?Is a Manual available with the product (Hard copy or Soft copy)?
 adyonfire4 12 points
OF Course it is very useful.Soft copy of manual of product available in files section.
 Qiyu 7 points
I think it not worth the money.
the potentiometer is very bad.
if you turn it, only about 30 degree can adjust the servo, but it can turn about 60-90 degree.
and in bed liner.
 Kellyann 16228 points
Aditya Agrawal this is not the best for the price. The little blue one is much better and almost the same price. This one come with a Manual under the FILES tab. I can be used for more than a tester though. I hope this helps. (You can use it as a manual controller.)

Yes - it is great

I'm looking for a lightwieght servo adjuster to use in-flight, so i can so i can still use HH on my gyro and free up the gear channel for retracts. has any one tried this application with this equiptment ?? please let me no your results...

I Use this servo teste as controler for ESC's and works fine, this tester has 3 funktions by button, after power up it works in manual what is 1., 2. second one is automatic spinning from left to right and back in cykles and 3. is setup servo to the CENTER position. I can imagine that in 1. more you can do it, buy you hace to some how spin with the potenciometr.... thats what you will have to control by another servo anyway, but yes it can be small one and you can control bigone*) Hope this hep

Can this be powered by an esc's internal bec for out of vehicle testing, or does the bec need to be disconnected?
 patat_flores 10 points
An ESC's internal BEC's output is around 4.8 - 6.0... So, yes... This servo tester can be powered by an ESC's internal BEC. I have used this servo tester by ESC's internal BEC, Receiver Battery and a 2cell lipo4 battery... They all worked well... I still use this servo tester to this date...

Cheers. Just wasn't sure if it would pick up the power from the esc, or need an external power source.
 patat_flores 10 points
I find this servo tester a lot easier to carry around. Another power source i use is my netbook's USB port, also a very stable 5v power source to power a couple of servos. I modified a servo lead connected to a USB head... Just be careful of the polarity... You will not regret buying this servo tester...

So far this servo tester works, The "Manual" is more than lacking as in limp ass. What are the LEDS indicating????????? "Loose wire for power as well(4-6 Cell NiMH" What does this mean????????? Can't they just list Voltage not number of cells?????????

I think it is simple but not so cheap when compared to other ones more well finished, with case and so one.

You would think it should work with a single cell lipo seeing as receivers run off 4 volts fine but my one only jitters the servo around the middle a little bit when the mode button is in one of the modes. Only works for me with a 2 cell 7.4 volt lipo pack

Use this along with HobbyKing GA-250 MINI-MEMS Gyro PRODUCT ID: GA-250 on a drift car or buggy, so you don't have to use 3channel radio for the gain adjustment. still cheaper then any car gyro around.

This tester is a very good tool. If You connect Your ESC to provide 5V, the tester will control Your motor!
