Dont use an outrunner in a car. There will be collected a lot of magnetic debris on the magnets, and probably seize up the motor.
Use an inrunner instead, look for what others have used for the same car...
I am running 1600kv heli outrunner, 1500w in savage xl brushless conversion, i also run same motor on tamiya tnx, so it will work! Only car esc's on HK wit high volt and amp ratings are not suited for more than 4 pole motors usually, i use boat versions, now they have also with reverse and all like car esc firmware:) Stiff front plate motor mount is a must have for this kind of conversion!
I have a related question, I need a motor at this Kv range 800-900Kv and I will be using it for an electric conversion for my Hirobo Shuttle ZXX.
Will this motor be good enough at 850Kv on 6S?
Pani is right, it has 10 poles. Number of windings is 7 turns, Rm is 34,7 milliohms, stator plates is 0,3mm thick. I am planing on a rewind for the ChangeSun 90mm fan, and is thinking of a LRK winding sheme. Original it is DistributedLRK.
I bought a couple of these for my two MSH Protos. Very good motor for the price. 850Kv is perfect for using the stock 15T pinion. Power is almost as good as the Scorpion that is now discontinued. It still gets hot though.
I'm using 6S and 15T. But I also have a YGE ESC which I run at throttles between 60% and 80% (2650 rpm to 2850 rpm). I'm planning to switch to 14T soon but for no particular reason other than to take advantage of the new MSH shaft. Yes the new MSH long shaft that doesn't use a pinion adapter (for 14T) does fit this Turnigy motor. You will need to drill a hole on the bottom plate so the shaft can come through about 0.5mm. But it works great.
Munted in Protos 500, very hot after flight, I can even smell burned chemicals, still working (30 flights), very poor balancing (motor balanced but rear plate misaligned (made some holes to balance it)).
Power about the same as Scorpion 3026 880kv but little less efficient.
I used this Motor for a Raptor 30 e-Conversion , changing the Shaft was very easy , not yet maiden but the bench tests going great

Mounted in a Protos and works better than stock motor (lipotech). Not too hot and much power. Used with 15T and flat throttle curve at 85pcnt have enouhgt power to make 3D. Maybe scorpion one is better, but this is 6 times cheaper. Fully recomended.
