More than just a fancy name. TURNIGY nano-tech lithium polymer batteries are built with an LiCo nano-technology substrate complex greatly improving power transfer making the oxidation/reduction reaction more efficient, this helps electrons pass more freely from anode to cathode with less internal impedance.
In short; less voltage sag and a higher discharge rate than a similar density lithium polymer (non nano-tech) battery.
For those that love graphs, it means a straighter, longer curve. For pilots it spells stronger throttle punches and unreal straight-up performance. Excellent news for 3D pilots!
Unfortunately with other big brands; numbers, ratings and graphs can be fudged. Rest assured, TURNIGY nano-techs are the real deal, delivering unparalleled performance!
Suited to the following models: MIKADO LOGO400, ALIGN T-REX500, GUAI EP425/550/X5, Compass Atom 500, MSH Protos500 JR Vibe 500E
The nano-core technology in lithium ion batteries is the application of nanometer conductive additives.
1) The nanometer conductive additives form ultrastrong electron-conducting networks in the electrodes which can increase electronic conductivity. 2) These additives create a superstrong ability for imbibition in the carrier liquid to supply more ion channels. This improves the ability of ion transmission and ion diffusion. Through improving electronic conductivity and ion transmission, the impedance is reduced and the polarization of high rate discharge decreases greatly.
Advantages over traditional Lipo batteries: -Power density reaches 7.5 kw/kg. -Less Voltage sag during high rate discharge, giving more power under load. -Internal impedance can reach as low as 1.2mΩ compared to that of 3mΩ of a standard Lipoly. -Greater thermal control, pack usually doesnt exceed 60degC -Thickness swelling during heavy load doesnt exceed 5%, compared to 15% of a normal Lipoly during heavy load. -Higher capacity during heavy discharge. More than 90% at 100% C rate. -Fast charge capable, up to 15C on some batteries. -Longer Cycle Life, almost double that of standard lipoly technology.
Turnigy nano-tech batteries are great. I really wanted to purchase the 6s 5000mah but I didn't because of weight differential so I had no choice but to purchase 2650mah for my 90mm ducted fan. the flight time 8mintues on a mid speed flight but high speed 5-6 minutes...
got one in the protos. 9 min soft flight * 2200upm or 3,5min fullpitch speedflight *3200upm...
the batt comes down hot, but it´s ok. i´ll try the 6S2250 65C next.
first time using nano techs and they are great with hard 3d flight of 3,5 min they are only at 3.8v per cell... absolutely love the power you get! Trex 500e 500mx motor, 13T pinion and servos at 6v.
I don't like flying longer than 50% of the lipo's capacity, making sure the each cell reaching not less than 3.8V so when I fly my protos500 full pitch I'm getting a 5 min top.
Less than 40 cycles of charging/discharging, this lipo has already shown a slight puff but I'm still happy with it as it can still deliver a good punch/power. However if you want to fly full throttle (so that your lipo won't get puffed) I recommend the 65C instead (never tried it yet).
Amazing battery! Trex 500 performance was just outstanding until the tail boom blew off. Battery hit hard enough to dent but still going strong (After repairs). I'm just amazed at the performance vs. cost for this product and I suggest to everyone I fly with they invest in nano-tech batteries. Everyone who has is glad they did.

works prefect in trex 500 fits under canopy no problem with balance. has awesome power @ 2700 using ice 75 and 1600kv scorpion. cells stay balanced well at the 10c charge. can't beat the price.
