More than just a fancy name. TURNIGY nano-tech lithium polymer batteries are built with an LiCo nano-technology substrate complex greatly improving power transfer making the oxidation/reduction reaction more efficient, this helps electrons pass more freely from anode to cathode with less internal impedance.
In short, less voltage sag and a higher discharge rate than a similar density lithium polymer (non nano-tech) battery.
Unfortunately with other big brands, numbers, ratings and graphs can be fudged. Rest assured, TURNIGY nano-techs are the real deal, delivering unparalleled performance!
The nano-core technology in lithium ion batteries is the application of nanometer conductive additives.
1) The nanometer conductive additives form ultrastrong electron-conducting networks in the electrodes which can increase electronic conductivity. 2) These additives create a superstrong ability for imbibition in the carrier liquid to supply more ion channels. This improves the ability of ion transmission and ion diffusion. Through improving electronic conductivity and ion transmission, the impedance is reduced and the polarization of high rate discharge decreases greatly.
Advantages over traditional Lipo batteries: -Power density reaches 7.5 kw/kg. -Less Voltage sag during high rate discharge, giving more power under load. -Internal impedance can reach as low as 1.2mΩ compared to that of 3mΩ of a standard Lipoly. -Greater thermal control, pack usually doesnt exceed 60degC -Thickness swelling during heavy load doesnt exceed 5%, compared to 15% of a normal Lipoly during heavy load. -Higher capacity during heavy discharge. More than 90% at 100% C rate. -Fast charge capable, up to 15C on some batteries. -Longer Cycle Life, almost double that of standard lipoly technology.
Actual weight of my both packs is 291g(without wires).
Sticker on back cover states it can be charged at 8C rate.
Central plug(for balancing wire), is it 2 mm banana or is it 1mm banana? I mean the plug on battery itself, not the JST plug on charger side. I'm aware the pos and negatives are 4mm bananas, just need to order correct type for balancing port on battery.
I'm sure they will fit just fine, however, to be sure I always just check the dimensions provided against the actual measurements of my battery tray.
I think its just the Revo that uses the little batteries.
No, it's still one battery. 2P means, there are two parallel batteries inside. It's special circuit. It's good for better performance, but more batteries inside means more change something goes wrong in time. Charging is same as another 2S battery 1C (here it's 5,6A).
Hi, if my turnigy accucel 8 can charge up to 7A so wat charging amps shld i select to charge tis batt at..?can i select the full 7a to charge e batt..?any effect if charge at high current..?
In fact I believe they say these are 8c rated. So you take 5.6 multiplied by 8c's and we have 44.8amps. I personally would never charge this fast but (5 minute charging) but some do.
Hmmm...itz to say e on the batt pack nv stated what is the 'c' rating..?btw i am askin bout the 'c' charging rating not the output power 'c' rate coz it both happen to share the same letter.also even if i knw e batt can charge at more than 1c so wat does it mean aniwey? Hw does the'c' effect my charging setting..?
On the back of the pack it states the max C charge rating which is much higher than 1c. I would only charge at 2 or 3c when in a real hurry. For longevity reasons keep charging around 1c. 7a is not going to hurt
Yes! They don't come with connectors so you have to solder your own connector to the cable. I would prefer the deans connectors. They can handle the high voltages that goes through the cable. Hope this helped :)
Hello, I am to buy two batteries of this and would like to know if I can put it in a place with only 31 mm high. (Savage Flux XS). Need to know if the cables can be bent 90 degrees, so that leaves the battery. Or if anyone has installed them in this car, you can post your impression. Thank you.
Cables can bent but if u ask the benting from the connection of the battery, it wont. mybe u can try but i believe the middle(blue connector) will be broken from the middle cos its weak. If u dont bent from the middle, it works ferfect.
We have them in our savages and I bent the cables and used electrical tape to hold them down. Another option is to get some bullet connectors and cut a relief in them and then create 90 degree bullets or buy some.
( ) is on the left if you look from above, connectors on top. Or lower-left corner if you would keep the battery in the position to read the text on the label (as pictured).
Its really bizzare, I bought 2 Zippy flightmax 5700 mah and my battery /- is the reverse of the Flightmax picture, I too have a shorter (-) wire to esc, i will have to make both the same to accomodate the 2 scenario's.
I had a closer look after I saw your question, if you enlarge the pics and turn up the brightness, you can see it's negative terminal at the top of the pack in the pics, and positive at the bottom.
That caught me off guard as I just bought two of the 5300's and my current chassis is set for the reverse of that, looks like I'll need to redo some wiring to run mine.
I bought three of these, but do not intend to use for maybe two months... Should I just leave them as I received or should I charge to "storage" or something? Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
I would check the voltage of them amd just check there not fully charged. As long as there not fully charged or close to 3volts per cell they should be fine for a few months. I always balance store charge mine as it wont hurt to do so.
If I'm not going to use my batteries for anytime over a week I put a storage charge in them. And then periodically check the condition of the batteries. Always Balance charge your batteries for long life and for optimal output. The nano techs are great, haven't had an issue with them yet. I like them better than the higher priced lipo batteries. Happy that some are roar approved so I can have a good batt with outstanding power.

awesome product, give my scrt10 short course full power, the burst never happen when use standart lipo, with this my car gone wild in track, fast out in every curve and fly in every jumping, the most amazing is charging rate make charging is very fast, i charge 2 lipo in series @ 10 Ampere using turnigy 200w charger, just need 30-40 minutes to finish in balance mode, this combo of lipo and charger is mega kill...... usually need 8 packs turnigy lipo 5000mah 30c, but now just 4 packs is more than enough, my setup is hobbywing xerun 150a esc combine with kd 3660 4000kv motor run in sensorless mode, with 14t pinion will try 15t pinion in future

Great battery for my brushless slash 4x4. Long run time and fast charging. Lots of punch and made my truck really fast all around. I will be buying more of these batteries.
cost-effective, performance similar to the best brands. worth the purchase.

Super !
Super!
Before I used to run with standard LiPo batteries 5200 mAh 25C: it was enough for my 1/10 Touring (cyclone). ESC Orion, engine LRP X12 4.0 t. No problem, just high temperature and some inflation on these classic packs...
but with this one it's a new world: instant power, hard job for the belts and the tires!!!
fantastic HK, great thanks
