More than just a fancy name. TURNIGY nano-tech lithium polymer batteries are built with an LiCo nano-technology substrate complex greatly improving power transfer making the oxidation/reduction reaction more efficient, this helps electrons pass more freely from anode to cathode with less internal impedance.
In short, less voltage sag and a higher discharge rate than a similar density lithium polymer (non nano-tech) battery.
Unfortunately with other big brands, numbers, ratings and graphs can be fudged. Rest assured, TURNIGY nano-techs are the real deal, delivering unparalleled performance!
Spec. Capacity: 4850mAh Voltage: 2S3P / 2S Cell / 7.4V Discharge: 50C Constant / 100C Burst Weight: 132g EA (290g Total Inc Wires) Dimensions: 69x47x25mm EA Balance Plug: JST-XH Discharge Plug: 4mm Bullet-connector to your own custom plug
Now officialy approved by ROAR for race use!
The nano-core technology in lithium ion batteries is the application of nanometer conductive additives.
1) The nanometer conductive additives form ultrastrong electron-conducting networks in the electrodes which can increase electronic conductivity. 2) These additives create a superstrong ability for imbibition in the carrier liquid to supply more ion channels. This improves the ability of ion transmission and ion diffusion. Through improving electronic conductivity and ion transmission, the impedance is reduced and the polarization of high rate discharge decreases greatly.
Advantages over traditional Lipo batteries: -Power density reaches 7.5 kw/kg. -Less Voltage sag during high rate discharge, giving more power under load. -Internal impedance can reach as low as 1.2mΩ compared to that of 3mΩ of a standard Lipoly. -Greater thermal control, pack usually doesnt exceed 60degC -Thickness swelling during heavy load doesnt exceed 5%, compared to 15% of a normal Lipoly during heavy load. -Higher capacity during heavy discharge. More than 90% at 100% C rate. -Fast charge capable, up to 15C on some batteries. -Longer Cycle Life, almost double that of standard lipoly technology.
Anschließ*en: das schwarze Kabel mit den zwei Steckern von Plus des einen Pack zum Minuspol des anderen Pack. Dann das rote Kabel an Plus..... Meine Packs hatten 0,1 Volt Spannunsdiv.
These packs were a little off on the dimensions, as I had to put a piece of the soft side velcro on the bottom of the battery to make it fight securely in my Team Associated B44 buggy.
Just a heads up
Does anyone know why Turnigy have made these batteries with the terminals around the opposite way from every other manufacturer?? It makes it annoying to mount in my car... I need an extension wire as the negative and positive plugs are on the opposite sides with these ones!!!
I ended up putting a small notch in the top brace in my Team Associated B44 buggy... Now I use both batteries with the terminals facing the back wheels. This fits quite nicely, and kept me from having to make longer wires. (if you like this info, please press the "Thumbs Up" button. Thanks!)
Can anyone bring a positive answer to the question : what is the voltage of each brick ? because I definitely could use a 2400mAh /2s small harcased pack. The only available review seems to say that. I just wanted a confirmation.
thnaks !
2s2p suggests 2 cells in series so i would think each half is a 1s 4850mah not 2x 2s 2425mah (this seems a funny size) so i dont think its right youd be better searching for a 2s lipo with smaller dimesions :)
These batteries are 3.7V each. So each little brick is 3.7V and you connect the two of them in series to make 7.4V. The "2S2P" means that each brick contains 2 packs inside, each 3.7V, which are each 2425mAh, which are connected in Parallel inside the brick to make a total of 3.7V and 4850mAh per brick.
damoweber, I can understand the confusion but capacities don't add like that. If you connect two 2425mAh packs in series, you get one 2425mAh pack with twice the voltage. These would be a pair of 4850mAh 1s3p packs, which make a 4850mAh 2s3p pack when you connect them in series. If you connected them in parallel, you'd get a 1s6p 9700mAh pack.
slow_jun, I don't often call someone an idiot, but I'm tempted to make an exception in your case. You have nothing helpful to say, you're just being rude.
Judging by the photo I guess this is actually two packs of 2P cells connected in series by the cable?
Given cable design I'm guessing it's not 2 packs of 2S connected in parallel.
Yes, i believe so too, each pack in 2P config then series via wire, down side is how to balance the cell in Parallel? do hope they create a 2S1P config with the same "C" rating, else this would not be a good buy for me.
each pack is 3.7v 4850mah. if you wire them in series it will double the voltage to 7.4v, but remain at 4850mah (how you would run in a buggy). if you wire them in parallel it would double the capacity to 9700mah but the voltage would remain at 3.7v (no good for racing in this format)

Mainly, Saddle Pack configurations are intended for RC Cars not planes So packs should be connected in series to get 7.4v but that cable is missing. :(

This is my first set of Nano-Tech batteries and I love them! They are so powerful in my 4wd durango buggy with a 7.5 motor. I ordered two stick packs for my other cars.
You cannot go wrong with these batteries.
Shipping is quick too. My order shipped in two days (since I had no back orders).

love these batteries, these were my first set of nano-tech and they allow me to jump twice as far as batteries of double or even triple the price.
im ordering my 2nd set now, will be ordering many more.

Good punch, probably not 65C but it is high anyways. They charge up to 4900mAh, so excellent in that aspect. Relatively lightweight.
The only downside is that the IR is not what's advertised,HK says 1.2mOhm per cell and the iCharger 106b reads 3mOhm and 4mOhm per cell.
Not a big deal anyways, still a great value product.

Great Lipo's. bang on for price. Using them to power a 5.5t motor in my b44, so much power. Just a tiny bit smaller than described, but not anything too much. Good work HobbyKing
