Yes they would work. You would get over 150 W/kg power to weight ratio (if your bixler II would weight about 600-700 grams), which is enough for basic aerobatics and normal cruising.
Hi. Does anyone know if I can fix the screws that are currently used in 2810 motor for the prop rubber? The 2824 comes with 2 tapped holes and seems to be M2.5 but has not screws. I know this motor comes with adaptor for rubbers but I dont like how does it fix the TP slow fly.
Thanks
I use this engine Kombat with a span of 800 mm, weight of 600 g 1300mAh 3S flashlight and propeller APC 7x6.
The plane flies like a wild, so that I can only recommend.
For a reasonable price perfect engine.
Hallo, which brend is better ( price and quality)Turnigy or HobbyKing? In my case: http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__12920__D2826_ 10_1400kv_Brushless_Motor.html http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__17587__HobbyK ing_2824_Brushless_Outrunner_1300KV.html http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__12922__Turnig y_D2836_11_750KV_Brushless_Outrunner_Motor.html OR http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__15193__HobbyK ing_Donkey_ST3007_1100kv_Brushless_Motor.html THANKS)))
the turnigy 2826 is the better motor, these are cheap nasty "homebrand" rubbish, they won't last very long if run at full throttle most of the time (like on combat wings). I use the same motor but in 2822/14 after trying several different motors on my combat wings, they produce similar thrust on 2s and don't fly apart when they get a decent shunt when hitting the deck, you can also get replacement shafts not that I have ever bent one. Have a look at the 2822/14 or the 2826-6 22000kv if you need more thrust on 3s (around 1.4kg, awesome motor for the bixler's)
HI All.. I would like to use this on the eaglewing fpv plane as its recomended for it,, but not sure what prop to buy for this plane, motor etc...it will be used for fpv so some addon weight will be there does this mater on prop size,,any help would be great.. and a link to the prop please if you could.. Thankyou..
Allso just to add,,the Esc that is recommended by HK is 35A-fixed wing? but the motor says 20-amp max ?so the prop would have to match the Esc Power?? .. Thankyou
generally don't use the motor size recommended with it, it is normally the minimum you can get away with. This will generate upto 0.9kg of thrust on 3s, but it won't last very long. Have a look for another motor with 1kg or more of thrust and a ESC that is atleast 25% above the max amps so it does not work so hard or get as hot, you want some head room on FPV as there is normally more expensive things strapped to the front of the plane than a ESC and motor. Last thing you need is a crash and burn due to running the minimum setup. The egale is close in size to the bixler, so I would go for the turnigy 2826-6 2200kv motor, it needs a bigger esc but it has 1.4kg of thrust so plenty of power to climb and will only be running at 40% throttle most of the time so nothing will get real hot. Add a 40amp ESC to this and you are gold, this motor will pull 28amp max, and will generally sit on 25amp at max throttle and around 7amp at half throttle and around 5amp at half rmp (22,000rmp) on a 3-blade master airscrew 6x4 pusher prop (props are like good motors, don't skimp on them or you are just wasting mah, master airscrew all the way). I have 2x 2,650mah batteries and get over 30mins of climb time and 50mins just cruising around.
Seems to be a great little motor. Recommend prop should be sth. about 8x6 slowfly for trainers. Works great up to 600g I would say with aerobatics. Windings look very neat. Great. Quality goes china! Same thing a bit bigger, too and in the german warehouse, please.

Great little motor. Installed on a Great Planes Hellcat park flier. Photo and say 2 or 3 cell lipo and the props it should handle. Cart is wrong. I'm running it with a Castle Phoenix 18 amp ESC with an APC slowflier 9x3.8 prop with Tirnigy 20C 1300mAh 7.4 lipo. This set up pulls 14.8 amps at full throtle and flies the hellcat just great. 5-8 minute flights and everything comes down nice and cool. Tried a APC 8x6 slowflier prop and it pulled 18.9 amps on the same battery. 9x6 prop sucked up 23.4 amps at full throtle. All readings were with a MPI Watt meter. Hope this helps some of you out there.

I have two of these powering a Guan Li Canadair CL-415. I'm using GWS 8040 3-bladed props (contra rotating) and HK 20 amp ESC's. With a 3S 25c 2200mAh lipo, I am getting a combined 325 watts from 31 amps. More power than I need!! Leads are well soldered and wire is good quality and very flexible. The only bad things are 1) built-in x-mount does not give you mounting options 2) the motor shaft extends beyond the back of the x-mount by a mm or two, so you will need to cut a hole or depression in the firewall to keep it from rubbing 3) even without props they are surprisingly noisy. These are all minor problems. Overall a very good motor!!
