HobbyKing Cutting Mat
Cut in style with your very own HobbyKing Cutting mat. Perfect for protecting your work surface and keeping your hobby knife sharp.
Well HK the larger cutting mat is a go.If the Aust warehouse stocked the 24''by36'' cuttinng mat I would probably take 2.While we on the subject What about products like Hobbico balsa filler , monokote solvent and monokote polish cleaner ,there are a lot of scratch builders in Australia its only a matter of time before they find out about the economical prices HK offer, I am willing to spread the word.
agree, the HK warehouse is a joke, and they are adding the "Australia Tax" to everything for no good reason. It is cheaper to buy it overseas and ship it in ourselves than it is to buy it from the HK warehouse.....crazy
Yes, very resistant to cutting. Mat has two identical sides (with a different pattern), so over time as a wear surface, you can flip the mat and use the new the other side. I really liked it ...
straight answer yes. I suggest buy 2 or more pieces if your budget can support, this will last a long time and always use different parts of the matt, that way you can use one side for long. I picked up 2 just to be safe as it may run out of stock soon for the price and performance it is a steal.
Not a good idea to glue as both sides are usable, if you still want to stick it may be a double sided tape or simple clear tape would be a good idea so it can be easily taken off and flipped.
Cool mate, always wanted, but expected more. I thought it soft and elastic, but it turned out that he was hard. Catching up for work even better. Worth the money.
Yeah, think so eh? Then tell me why mine, 2 years old on a flat table, still doesn't lay flat. It wasn't rolled up, they folded it and you can see the fold in the picture. Ergo, my comment. I wouldn't buy it at all!
Just take a 100% cotton cloth and get it wet lay it on the mat and iron it with your hobby iron until its flat. The water will steam and keep your plastic mat from melting. I have layed out plastic mats like this before remember not to use the high setting and test at lower temperatures for best results.
Lay it out flat in the sun for a couple of hours and it will flatten. Funny how in 2 years you haven't tried to solve the problem but it takes you a day of this being out to bash the product and seller.
We need this mat DOUBLE that size for sale in Australia too. To be honest if this mat was 1metre square, it might be practical. This is the size of a baby's bib.
Great! Material is great. I don't use anymore my ruler. It has the angles are need. The price of this cutting mat in my LHS is three times more expensive then in HK. Love it!!!

This product is made good, drawnings on both sides of the HK cutting math, got all the diferent stuff you need drawn on it like diferent angles, diferent size of circles, mesure sizes and more. It is very useful. A plus !
2* for shipping - it says "do not roll", and it was tightly rolled in parcel. Hope it gets back to flat shape. I was a bit afraid, it would be possible to cut through the mat, but I really doubt it. Usefull patterns, such as circles, angles, and inch/metric grid on both sides. 5* for quality.
