Hi can i wire two of these sec's in parallel to make a 7A esc? Thanks. James

No, that`s not possible. Buy the YEP 7A 1-2 cells ESC instead.

Very Important.... When you combine this 1S ESC with the R415 (a 2S receiver) the receiver quits (3.6V) before the ESC turns down the motor (3.0V). You either use a timer or plan on crashing into a wall. The solution is to use two 1 S batteries* one for the motor/ESC and one for the receiver/servos. 80 mAHr or maybe up to 130 mAHr for the radio and in my case 240 mAHr for the motor/ESC. This is lighter than using a voltage booster but that would work too.

I forgot to mention, this solution is that of MultiRotorManiac. Thanks again MRM. (My contribution was confirming it with flight testing.) Walt

For 1s solutions I would take a look at the assan- receivers ... the X8R4 and X8R6 are working fine down to 2.6V !!!

Excellent suggestion Mr. Hobbybird. Although not with the 1S servo connectors and a bit heavy, this should be the safest way to go. A lot of guys are soldering the servo wires in place. Taking the connectors a plastic box off this receiver should drop the weight in half. Walt

Hello Walter, I used the Assan-RX totaly stripped in my 4#3 micro heli ... the 4-channelrx comes to a weight of 1.9g ... but it is not spectrum compatible!!.. Ingo

If I power this ESC with 1S will I still need to drop the voltage of the signal. S, when using a 5 volt reciever?
 BAttlemachine 67 points
yes, i fried mine going over 4.9v, these esc are very sensitive to voltage, but for the price, you get what you pay for. btw try the xp-3a, they sell it in HK too, its more reliable, but slightly more expensive.

Thanks JD - I'll cut the RED wire and run the Signal through 100 KOhms - I'll see if I can get away with that.

This little brushless esc works great. I am using it with 1 lipo cell on the AP03 4000kv motor for a rubber model conversion. No problems so far.

Used with HobbyKing 1608 Brushless Outrunner 5900KV and LiPo 1S. Transistors was warm after static test at full throttle. My recommendation is: place it to air flow for cooling.

Nice jewel, does his job well, smooth acceleration, good linearity, and good soldering areas (could be a little bigger, there is enough space on the board) and in case of burning out the fets they are easy to change but for the price ....be aware if better fets are coming on the market

Works great with a Spektrum 6400 and 2g outrunner on 1s. Easy to solder wires on with a nice small tip iron. Check the manual in the files tab for how to set the throttle range, by default mine wouldn't completely stop until the range was reset.
