yes and no. i person has mounted a 4074 motor but it was way way to much nd it blew the diff onits first pass. what i bought of my shredder (same thing) is this www.link can find it in the boat motor section or 36mm inrunner. its a 4 pole vs the 2 pole 1500 that comes with it, its a faster motor aswell. its also a much cheaper option and a direct drop in
Hi Adam, can you give me a bit more detail about which you think is the best motor... this one or the 4074 (which I can not locate) so a brand name would be good. :) Thanks
are you in Aust? if so i have the upgrade spare or you can buy from rcboatbitz i have upgraded twin feed rudder and offset rudder kit to suit if your intrested email me a.altorf*live****.sg chasing $120 free post if in aus
Will this motor fit on a VE8 standard chassis?, if not which other motor from HK could I use for running 5s or 6s without heat issues? Thaks in advance!
no its too big..
try the trackstar 2560kv motor. its rated at 5s, only though, runs cooler than my mamba becasue its a 6 pole motor. and on 4s its killer too..
Thanks but I have one trackstar that overheat a lot in 4s 30c... and the soldering inside is very bad,, before 5 mints. of running the ciruit the soldering brakes...
thats weird. mine came good, but i added the trackstar on my shockwave and and salt water got in the motor, so it ruined it :( it vibrates at full throttle
por favor reponer stock ya!!!!!!!!! XD tengo el pedido hecho y mi trailblazer XB esta pidiendo tierra :) o que alguien de diga un buen motor potente max 40mm para moverlo con 6s y esc trackstar 150a
Which Motor is Better???
The Leopard 4074 with 2000UPM or that one here?
I like to drive with 6S 10000mAh. My Boat has a weight about 8Kg and 120cm long. Same like the Vanquish but not identical. The deep V is the same. What prop do I need for that TURNIGY 1500KV here? Need an answer from an expert. Thanks and a happy new year tonight.
this motor would be able to throw: TP5660 6D 1420kv,or leo 5692 1320KV, 8s and 45-47" hull) octura 646/3 or a little larger. You can raise up to x452/3 according to the used ESC. 2-blade 455 or 460. Whit 6S 3 blade 60-65 mm 2-blade 70 mm propp.
In short, no. Thise would be best suited to a 150amp esc. I don't know about your battery pack as you haven't supplied the c rating. The discharge rate of your battery pack is C x 2.2.
Try Turnigy 1/8th Scale 4 Pole Brushless Motor - 2100KV. They're currently in stock too. Your battery would have a max discharge rate of 66amps which is a bit low for this application but if its a Turnigy battery you could probably get away with it as they tend to under rate their packs.
this engine is the price / performance is very good 4 pole motor in a separate beauty 6S 82 cm mono does not cause damage to the batteries, the temperature 24 degrees and 87 km / h speed did. There is a finding of a strange power 6S in another expensive 2330W 3500W power generating engines in 9S, 4082 turnigy 1500 kv motor engine and produces power at a cheaper price than 2660W 6S. This indicates that a high-quality engine.
When does that Thing arrive?????????????????????????????????????????????? ???????????????????????????????????????????????????? ???????????????????????????????????????????????????? ???????????????????????????????????????????????????? ???????????????????????????????????????????????????? ??????????????????????????????????????????
I just got the leopard vertion of this motor as you know they are identical. This is a copy of it I am drawing 109amp on 4s with a 8x8 prop Id like to go up to 5s and it will pull about 135 Do you think it will last if i do just short burst high speed passes???? Theres TONS of aircooling. has anybuddy test it in pratical use with this much load???
HK HK HK HK can you please get this motor in stock, I really think it has been over looked, its been that long since its been available, I wrote cust service to no avail...
NO they wont Trust me Ive been watching for a long time Don't worry HK came out with dr mad thrust series Same size same KV varieties and high amp capability If you've ordered this one cancel it and use the credit to get the one I just mentioned
4 pole with the power It needs more magnets or it would wreck.

This motor is pretty efficient! Quick measurments: 80W at no load at 23V at 35000RPM. Very well balanced too. Compare this to the old kd series. Of course, it is more expensive. Also, no mounting screws. come on you guys!!! - Outside quality looks excellent. No idea about bearing quality though. Was tested for a few secs on 5inch EDF. Got over 9lbs of thrust at 6S. I will do more testing and post results soon.

Have this motor on my hyper7 1/8 buggy and really like it.
unlike the trackstar 2560kv run really smooth when you release the throttle and press full throttle while running.
using the turnigy analiser:
46t spur and 18t pinion on 6s = 113amp
46t spur and 20t pinion on 6s = 98amp / 2300w
46t spur and 20t pinion on 4s = 88amp
Temps always under 60 celsiun
I think that ia can use even bigger pinion, like 23t to 25t.

Have ordered this motor and will test it with a 8x8 APC prop on 6S LiPo. More info about trust and speed soon!
HK paid great attention to their order of these "leopard" like motors. Very nice 4 pole design. nice machined annodized casing. A very cery good price on a Y wind 1600kv motor. Need winter to pass to try in boats in order to give real review of running quality. In the spring TTYL!
Killer motor for the price. Not as efficient as a German inrunner of equivalent specs but for 1/6th of the price come on. Got 138 amps peak and 3000plus watts in an inferno ST on 6S with 13/48 gearing and HK150A controller and 4000mah 40C zippy batteries. Heat is not an issue either as it stays at ~55C after 2 consecutive hard runs.
