4s lipo : 37mm 1.6pitch prop, 65amps max , 1003watts max, temp after 4000mah battery 23 celcius
5s lipo: 37mm 1.6pitch prop, 78amps max, 1299watts max, temps after 3700mah battery 32 celcius, speed 58mps max
both motors watercooled
great motors in my opinion , 5s lipos taken with easy must have small prop

hi will this work on 5s in twin catamaraan i would like to build one any one use this on 5s in the boat pls help abd advice i knoe they stated 4s max but most of this motors take more volts easily as i have 4074 2000kv runing on 5s without no issues so far in my truggy need fan as run a bit hotter than i thought anyway pls info

What are spcs used for? When i buy i do not only look at prices, proper info is very important. HK is selling the engines and information to do the best choice. 14.8 volts is 4s, with 6s or 22.2 you are pretty sure to blow out the stuff. Should had your engine blow with a 3 S or 4S , i would have said you are right to complain...
Would this motor work well in the Turnigy Trooper SCT 4x4 1/10 Brushless Short Course Truck? Im looking for crazy speed. If this one will not work what motor would be good to get a lot of speed with this truck?
One of the things to look at is the Kv number. Low is torque, high is speed. Motors have to be of same size of course for this to be relevant. Kv is the amount of rpm pr volt applied. Easily comparisation, is calling low kv for low gear, and high kv for high gear to give you a practical example. It is always good to have lower kv, and higher voltage, this giving you less heat, less battery usage, and both great accel, and decent top speed.
I've just fitted this motor to my proboat stiletto. The leopard 3650 cooling jacket fits a treat. I run this on 4s With a turnigy 120a esc and an x642 prop. My boat is a lot faster than stock. Deffo reccomend this motor for a 27-30inch boat.

first test in my ekos twin 4s lipo with 42mm 1.8pitch alloy props ,
lipo only charged to 3.7v per cell
7,55amps, 112watts, temp after 30 seconds : 28 celcius so not so great on the beginning , will do test run this weekend and come back with all details,
will run 4s and 5s lipos on this set up
