These pins are used to lock the battery strap and the canopy. They do their job, are a bit a hassle to handle but still ok. A car needs 4, better 6 (2 for battery,2/4 for canopy) and they get lost easily - so this should be included in a spare order (at least once), on pavement you have a chance to find them again but offroad you'll probably be out of luck. If you ran out of these, you can use a bit of copper wire for the canopy (0,5mm diameter or a bit bigger).
