Is this heak shink come with Fan?
 frogs 161 points
Yes, it does, the fan runs nicely on 5-6 volts.
martinct  5 points - 2/20/2013

If not which one do you recomend me for a hot bodies VE8, i don't have much space on the chassis to fit it.
Masson  3 points - 1/7/2013

On my Slash 4x4, I Got it installed on my Velineon 3500 directly plugged on the esc red female plug. Note the Fan came equiped with the Female plug also, so I had to replace by the Male one which is delivered together with it in the pack.

Can I use it on my receiver with an 80A esc and 2lipo 7.2v? Or will I have to turn on a 6v batterie?
 Dinukap4 253 points
Yeah mate u can use this on the reciever but it would be better if you could use a seperate battery for this.

Ok. Thanks!
 Madrc 78 points
yes, it can plug directly to your spare receiver channel plug
 Luiz 42 points
Ok . Thamks!
 igor 11 points
you can use BEC for this in case if you dont have free chanels on your receiver left
Dinukap4  253 points - 6/22/2012

What is the length of this heat sink? and will it fit to a traxxas ruslter?
 Dinukap4 253 points
It sure will mate :) I use one
 frogs 161 points
I have one on my rustler but I put a brushless system in as well. You could bend this heat sink to fit the 550 modified motor that comes stock just make sure to take off the metal band with the sticker on it. This heat sink will also work with the vxl motor.

Is this motor serves to sink the monster engine serial Beatle?
 ERHAN 1 points
i use this on ezrun 5.5t *)
Arsya  161 points - 3/16/2012

what max voltage does it use?
 MARIOS 43 points
5~6 volt
 Bustinprops 12 points
you can push it to 7volts but that would be it, to be safe. Very good quiet motor too.

 Arsya 161 points
so.. i make an experiment and it can work on 3S LiPo without overheating
 dividi 7 points
It works very fast (and good) on 5 volt. I'm think the max is no more than 6v.
Marco  40 points - 1/11/2012

No go. Its fried i think. connected it with 6.0 volts besc. dunno Whats wrong with it.
 chape00 31 points
I have mine connected to 6v besc too. I have two and work fine.
 Robert 2 points
Some times the fan becomes popped out of the motor and needs to be pushed back in, but when I received my motor it worked flawlessly but I've had a fan not work before with other fans
define.xs  1 points - 11/22/2011

why isn't my fan running?
 2001230672 6 points
it could have gotten dirt in the bearing or became un attached with the wireing
 Robert 2 points
Check the wires if correctly soldered
 frogs 161 points
First, try turning it with your finger and if it does not turn of if it does not turn smoothly, check for blockages and dirt. If the fan turns smoothly there is probably a broken wire somewhere.

Howmany volts do it runs ? 2s lipo good
 chape00 31 points
With 2S lipo run very well. You can change the fan if you need a fan with more voltage. Regards!

Work very well with 2S.
 Shift86 166 points

 Robert 2 points
Worka amazing with 2sthe lipo
 CapriJake 3 points
Run it via your receiver (Wityh BEC) so no problem with what ever battery size you use

 Yoghi 37 points
For 540 series is perfect. Bye.
 Robert 2 points
Yes it will
 CapriJake 3 points
Yes this will fit a 540 from a Wild One fine. :)
SpitfireQuebec  64 points - 8/4/2011

This is mounted on the stator while it is the rotor that heat up. You need this as a dog a second tail.
 Dr.Tom_CRO 137 points
2 spitfireQuebec: it's for inrunner motor, not outrunner, :) so the coils, that are around the stator, heat up and this helps cool them down. in an outrunner, the coils are inside like you stated.
 CapriJake 3 points
Can be very useful if you have a motor running a bit too hot but need to keep the same gearing!
norco kid  36 points - 8/3/2011

Arghhh... Why red? Any other colors coming?

how do you power it? via reciever? wats the running current than? i'm new to cars
 merlok 10 points
power via BEC or battery - depends on power for fan
 grimmjow 1690 points
Powered by your receiver if your ESC have a BEC.
BEST ANSWER CREDIT AWARDED
 Shift86 166 points
i wonder what is the running current of this fan, cause i think BECs are usually about 3A and the steering servo on a 1/10-1/8 car can take up to 2A i think so that leaves an amper for the fan and thats already kinda pushing the BEC
 grimmjow 1690 points
there's no problem, a fan like that will draw less than 1 amp
 Hieliew 52 points
I guess it's about 100-200mA
 bigguyjt 8 points
Velineon ESC has a jst that plugs right into this.
 nikemike 27 points
Normally it's a 6 volt Fan, because when your are using a Fan with an higher voltage it won't turn, because the normal voltage in an Rc car is 2S Lipo with 7,4 volt!!
 Shift86 166 points
wait, i thought you power it from your reciever? i got really confused about powering it
 Robert 2 points
Run it to esc or to the reliever in the battery space
Sokonomi  308 points - 8/3/2011

Id like one that is suitable for the motor in the hobbyking 1:16 truck so running 3 cell becomes an option. *)
 Shift86 166 points
yeah i have the same problem, need fan for beetle 1/16 motor. Or maybe just put a 36mm motor with this fan in it, 100A esc, 5000mah nanotech 3s lipo and see where this will take you ))))
 BadBert 29 points
Me too... i also want one for the beetle...
 Chrissy47 256 points
I run 3S on the beetle and fitted two EFLM1912 E-Flite Heat Sink 20mm x 20mm. they were about 5 bucks each with heatsink compound. Mine doesn't overheat at all anymore. I also added 20 x 20 5V fan to the standard ESC as I was gettin thermal cutout after about 5 minutes of flat out running.

Mark
 eccvets 9 points
isnt the motor 24mm? the EFLM1912 E-Flite Heat Sink 20mm x 20mm wont fit on the 1/16 sct.
Dinukap4  253 points - 8/3/2011

Can some one buy it and give me the buddy code ? gonna be in my E maxx
Lion99  28 points - 8/3/2011

dimensions? fan size?
 poitasal 19 points
Fan looks to be a standard 40mm x 10mm fan.
 thesmith1 27 points
I'd say more like 25 or 30 x 10 given that its supposed to fit a 36mm motor

this done diddly squat zero to cool my traxxas velinion set up slash 4x4 platinum , i can fart harder than this fan but the heatsinks ok , thermal protection kicks in still around the same time and the fan does zero to cool the motor while sitting in shade waiting for motor to chill etc may as well blow on it , i was hoping to use a turnigy fan like on the larger heatsinks bought here there brilliant but the turnigy fan on this is to big unless you make some larger bars for attachment which ile do but the heatsink is a tight comfy fit on the TRAXXAS SLASH 4x4 with velinion motor
