This model is hot!
An EPO 1.4m 3D head-turning machine; this large scale model will surely draw a crowd at any club and demand full respect amongst 3D pilots the world over.

The distinctive and scale scheme is ideal for orientation. The MX2 is large for an EPO model and it looks nearly twice the size once its in the air. Its a blast to fly and is very 3D capable!

The powerful, pre-installed 36-48 motor spinning that large & scale 3 blade prop gives plenty of thrust for the wildest of maneouvers, and the pre-installed servos are certainly up to the job. Generous size control surfaces combined with light weight ensure this is a true performer as well as a head turner. Practical as well as easy on the eye, the wings are detachable for easy transportation, a large canopy ensures easy access to Lipoly tray, wing bolts and so on.

I got this airplane from a different vendor. Needs fixes, canopy will fly off, hinges need to be checked. I opted for pull-push for the rudder and just fixed the tail wheel in place. Removed the wheel pants. I get 4 - 5 minutes on 4s 2200 30C with minimal or no 3D. What is your typical flight time?

my motor bearings bad stator dust everywhere replacement?

Hey folks, I just took my plane out today for the first flight and it was not bad overall!! The only issue I have is I kept dropping the rudder wheel off the mount. When I brought it home I figured I would just drill a small hole in the metal bracket and throw a set screw in there to stop it from coming off........Well the bracket broke!! Does anyone know where I can get that metal bracket?? It is the bracket that attaches to the rear of the plane and has the 90 degree angle you slide the rear wheel onto. Thanks
 Chris 1 points
You might try Dubro or just modify it. Mine broke while installing it so I changed the tailgear completely.

Can I put in a Zippy 4S 3600mAh and still hover/vertical?
pavelrg  26 points - 5/31/2012

HEllo. Does the stock motor performs well? or Do I need to change? I am planning to get this plane-
 Kellyann 16223 points
pavelrg the stock motor is fine. I found twickking the prop a bit depending on your flying style. Go standard (out of the box) is very good. i hope this helps.

HAVE ONE USED 70ESC AND 3300MAH FAIRLY GOOD PERFORMANCE

hey pilots..does anyone know what type of plugs does the ESC got? is it 4mm Banana?
 dskeigley 10 points
The esc has the XT60 plug
 flyboy420 1 points
Xt 60 indeed. Be sure t reprogram your esc and fasten your canopy securely. I have mine pinned with a couple of short drywall screws through hole I melted in the rear of the canopy.

No meu MX2 o ele veio com 4mm banana!

Can I put a Turnigy 4000mah 4 sell 20C lipo pack in a MX2 blue-3D 14000?
 dskeigley 10 points
The battery compartment has an opening of 40mm x 80mm x 175mm. I went with the 2200mah as suggested and I only get a 5 minute flight at half throttle most of the time so I am thinking of getting a bigger battery. I bought three 2200mah batteries and I'm thinking about getting one more so I can run two sets of two parallel to get more flight time.

Hello my friends, you know tell me if I can use this battery (2700 4s 65 / 130C) in my MX2 with Motor: Brushless Outrunner 42-48 and 80 amp ESC?
fly or die!  1 points - 9/21/2011

I can not believe there is not more issues with not being able to program the ESC. Does anyone have any info for this, it really needs to be done, we don't know what the factory settings are.

Mx2 is $118.70 at the hong kong warehouse. Just wait for the one time offer. Expect a wait though.,
 rcmodeler 83 points
Depending on where you are, the shipping cost may over shadow the higher price from a different location. I am surprise a the negative review especially after watching a video of this plane on youtube. I appears to 3D quite good unlike some of the comments would indicate in reviews. Control throws appear more than adequate as does the power. May just have to get this plane.

I must say for a foam airplane I am wonderfully impressed. Flies almost as good as my carden. (almost)

aney one know if parts are available.
 Pahlevan13 48 points
No parts from HK i just asked their support and the best they could offer was buy another one. Mine lost the canopy first day on test flight today. if you find parts, make sure you buy a spare prop as well. the tail wheel assy is very poor as well (too soft) and should be replaced
 Mister Musiic 4 points
The exact same thing happened to me. During my 2nd flight, the canopy blew off and got lost in a bean field and then I was forced to land. It started losing power and I had a hard landing which broke the prop. I have not flown in 3 weeks. Waiting for parts.
 Pahlevan13 48 points
i found a source for parts. if any of you need to know please email me at bahman*mac**** and i can direct you.

I have had one of these for a few months now, Its made by starmax, Overall its nice but their are a few things to watch out for, Check all hinges before each flight, i've broken that many its not funny, the rudder is only held by 2 hinge's one at the top and one in the middle, (NO HINGE ON THE BOTTOM), keep a bit of speed when turning as it tends to tip stall no matter were the cg is set, balance's nicely with a turnigy 2200mah4s pack any heavier and you will have to make room for the lipo to sit over the main carbon wing tube cutting a bit out of the canopy, some extra magnets on the canopy are needed as hard 3d makes it fly off, No cooling for the lipo or Esc but they dont seem to mind, i think it was about 40amp's at full throtle but can't remember its been a while since i tested it,

day 1, plane was shipped in a well protected box, everything comes as it says and im running a turnigy 2200 40c battery, the instructions were a bit misleading so i didnt finish in the proposed 1 hour that everyone else is getting. the instrutions seem to be translated, but the translation was off, so you have to innovate while putting together. for the rudder i removed the flap part of the rudder before i glued the base part in place and while it was removed i went ahead and cut slits with my xacto and put in some real! (3)hinges, this also made it easier to assemble the tail wheel. Some of the planes screws arent needed if you use glue instead which makes for a solid fit. I also epoxied around the motor mount base as it was wiggly, now solid. wings were pretty much ready to go, very nice so far, letting the glue dry and will maiden in the morning

This is the worst plane I have ever owned and I've owned hundreds of planes. Unless you fly it at 2/3 throttle or more, it will snap in a turn. No way is this a 3D plane as advertised. The servos are slow, the landing gear is strong but heavy, the motor is strong, but not strong enough to hover this plane. If you break a prop, spares are impossible to find, so be prepared to change over to a 2 blade prop. Other than it's great looks, and great price, it's not a great plane. Avoid like the plague.

I pulled mine out of the box yesterday and it is 90 percent together now. Good stuff Looks nice good size Motor looks like it can deliver decent performance though probably with a 2 bladed prop Nice wing to fues fit Not so good stuff Very poor manual - lots of pictures the size of postage stamps. Anyone without much experience will get confused color scheme is dine with decals (probably water based) so edges are flimsy and flake off, parts applied to the cowl already had edges gone out of the box only 2 hinges on the rudder at the top, absolute need to add one at the lower end Not sure why they did not go for a pull-pull cable on rudder since it is set up for pull-pull with two rods. tail wheel set up is a great idea badly executed. should swap the rod for a couple of springs, saves the load on the rudder and servo cowl is very thin plastic and will distort and overall is a weak point canopy-fues fit is not the best though it works Will fly this weekend to see performance. I feel that a little bit more care in design and manufacturing would make this into a first class plane. It is about the same size as the CarbonZ but when you put them side by side the difference in quality is very obvious. Of course the difference in price should be obvious if you have paid for both of these. Buy it as it is a nice plane but what out for the hinges and so on.
