Does anyone know if these Zippy Flightmax 4200 2S 6.6v [30c] batteries an be used for a receiver without the use of a regulator or ESC?
Most receiver LIFE batteries I've seen used on receivers do not use more than 5-10c.
Thank in advance for any info.

AS long as the voltage does not exceed 6.6 volts no regulator is required. The reason a regulator is used is bcause some batteries charge to as much as 8.4 volts and this will damage a receiver that is not rated for high voltage.

You were also concerned over the C rating. The C rating of a battery does not determine voltage. It is a rating for discharge usage. The high C rating will just make your battery last a really long time without charging on a regular receiver.
