Turnigy Typhoon 600H Heli Motor 1100kv (600 class) (USA Warehouse)
The Turnigy Typhoon is a very serious upgrade for any 600 size heli. Big, tight copper wire turns with thin, tightly packed laminations and a small stator/magnet air gap make this motor very efficient and powerful. Users will notice the instant power increase and higher idle speed when using this motor & we suggest you adjust your throttle accordingly.
Specifications:

I have the hk600gt set up with typhoon600h 1100kv,hk 70/80 esc, had to switch out main gear for KDE 164 tooth gear and 15 tooth pinion. 6s battery is getting hot and puffy, esc is also getting hot (only hovering). tried timing at 1',7',15' degrees no change. soft start jerky. am i loading up with the gear and pinion? Does anyone know how many poles on 600h 1100kv? What is mod on pinions? **** And just for reference the KDE gear is awesome no noise and absolutely true.
You need to go back to the stock main gear (170 teeth if I not mistaken) and change the pinion to a 13 or 15 tooth. You are bogging the 600h and making it pull more amps to keep the head speed up and that inturn is causing it to heat up you battery and motor. It should also help with the jerky slow start problems.
Any way to reterminate the motor from Delta to Wye, should instantly reduce the motor kV from 1100 to 635.8382 and lower the no load current while raising the kT value by the same 1.73 factor? Anyone try it yet?
after three gentle flights and got burn out after two hard 3d flybarless. May be is good for smaller heli.

I have had this motor in my HK 600 heli all summer and after about 20 flights, now into forward flight and mild acro, the motor is fine. I have been using it on just 5 cells (two older 2300 HXT packs in parrallel) since that is what I had, and just a 12 tooth pinion. The batteries are just barely warm and the motor is warm but not hot after 7-8 minites. Lots of power for me at this learning stage. I initially used a 14 tooth pinion but that had the motor on the hot side. I have put a drop of Scorpion bearing oil on the motor bearings just once so far. It's incredible how cheap you can get into larger helis that are so stable compared to the smaller stuff.

I have not operated the motor yet, but how do they expect me to fasten it to the helo without screws?? I was shocked that the screws did NOT come with the motor. Now I have to go to the local hobby store, guess the size of screws I need, and purchase them. If you need to raise the price a little to include the screws with the pkg, pls do so!!!

This motor is quite weak for anything but gentle flight. Bogs considerably with minor pitch pump. I'll be looking to upgrade to a stronger motor soon. HK600GT, Turnigy 100A ESC, Zippy 6S 5000 40C.

Have this motor in my 600 for 50 flights now, with 2-3 crashes in-between ans still going strong. Running 6 cells and 13 tooth pinion and nothing even gets warm. Handles mild 3D well. If you need more power than that the only way to get it is more cells on a different motor. Perfect for beginners!
