Does anyone bought these motors and they arrived burned?
Well, I bought one to put on My YAK 54, using a ESC Turnigy Trust 50 Amp, it just did not turned on, no beep was sounded, then, I bought more two, again one for my YAK 54 and another one to my piper j3, one of them, same thing that the first, it just did not turned on and no beep was sounded. I tried the last one and is was working, I installer it on yak and after less than 1 minute trying it on the ground, is started to froze. Does anyone had the same problems?
I'm looking at getting a Fun Cub and this motor looks like it would be a good match (a bit overpowered but that's how I like it). Looking for feedback as well as prop and ESC recommendations. Thanks!
Should be good,as you say,ample power,the Fun Cub all up should weigh around 1150g,if you use a 13 x 4 prop which is recommended by MPX then the table above gives a thrust of 1640g and approx 220 watts so should be good fun.A 40amp ESC is recommended so look at a Turnigy Plush,these have very good linear throttle response so would be excellent for the type of flying you wish to do with this type of model.
Yes it can be reversed. All you need to do is loose up the small hex screw in the collar, I will also sugest to remove the collar as the bearing can get damage when you are striking the shaft make sure to give only light strokes one at time and check if the shaft is moving.
575w is max for this motor but this size of motor goes up to around 1000w so it depends on the mass of the plane *}
you know u have too much power in a plane when u use 60% of ail travel as trimm to stay level and not roll LoL
I have this motor on Multiplex Mentor, and with Turnigy 4S 5000 mAh Lipo I was flu 27 min on half power. Prop 13*4, sound likes nitro www.link
