More than just a fancy name. TURNIGY nano-tech lithium polymer batteries are built with an LiCo nano-technology substrate complex greatly improving power transfer making the oxidation/reduction reaction more efficient, this helps electrons pass more freely from anode to cathode with less internal impedance.
In short; less voltage sag and a higher discharge rate than a similar density lithium polymer (non nano-tech) battery.

The nano-core technology in lithium ion batteries is the application of nanometer conductive additives.
1) The nanometer conductive additives form ultrastrong electron-conducting networks in the electrodes which can increase electronic conductivity.
2) These additives create a superstrong ability for imbibition in the carrier liquid to supply more ion channels. This improves the ability of ion transmission and ion diffusion.
Through improving electronic conductivity and ion transmission, the impedance is reduced and the polarization of high rate discharge decreases greatly.
Advantages over traditional Lipo batteries;
-Power density reaches 7.5 kw/kg.
-Less Voltage sag during high rate discharge, giving more power under load.

I am building a 26" ebike with a Tongxin 180 watt 24 volt sensorless hub motor, and a 10A 250Watt controller. Any idea what size Li/Poly here I would need to power this 24 volt motor? I'm poor and wondered if I can hook 2 smaller ones in series? Thanks, Larry

65C and 3,3Ah = 65 x 3,3 = 214A constant. You have the needed amper but now you have to find out what will be the actual consumption to find out the time it lasts. 10A and 250W seems to be small...

The controller seems to be a little on the small side, I would suggest to use a bigger one because of possible high stall currents. You can use equal size battery cells and connect them in series to get a higher voltage accumulator. The peak current (i.e. amount of C) is not a interesting criterium in this case, but the capacity is interesting. Buy cheap cells with high capacity to get long lasting push to your bike. Let's assume you have an average consumption of 100Watts, then the average current with 24V is 4A. To use that for 1 hour, you need cells with 4000mAh capacity. 6 cells in series to get 24V and probably some in parallel to get 4Ah or more depending of your goals in endurance.
