More than just a fancy name. TURNIGY nano-tech lithium polymer batteries are built with an LiCo nano-technology substrate complex greatly improving power transfer making the oxidation/reduction reaction more efficient, this helps electrons pass more freely from anode to cathode with less internal impedance.
In short; less voltage sag and a higher discharge rate than a similar density lithium polymer (non nano-tech) battery.

The nano-core technology in lithium ion batteries is the application of nanometer conductive additives.
1) The nanometer conductive additives form ultrastrong electron-conducting networks in the electrodes which can increase electronic conductivity.
2) These additives create a superstrong ability for imbibition in the carrier liquid to supply more ion channels. This improves the ability of ion transmission and ion diffusion.
Through improving electronic conductivity and ion transmission, the impedance is reduced and the polarization of high rate discharge decreases greatly.
Advantages over traditional Lipo batteries;
-Power density reaches 7.5 kw/kg.
-Less Voltage sag during high rate discharge, giving more power under load.
-Internal impedance can reach as low as 1.2mΩ compared to that of 3mΩ of a standard Lipoly.

Well, I see two different weights listed for this battery here!. 1- Weight: 763g (including wire, plug & case) and the other is - 985g!! I wonder witch one is correct?

Would the NT 4.5 power a t-rex 600 or Fusion 50? Mores to the point would they fit? jr

trex 600 ok very powerfull in 6s
fusion 50 12s very very very powerfull , with 3850 would be better and lighter

Has anyone long-time (maybe >50 cycles) experience with these lipos? wonder if they swell and lose power as fast as some other nt-cells. thanks

I have an answer for you. I got 2 of these batteries this Summer 17-8. I have a trex 700 12 s and Fusion 50 6s. The behaviour was perfect till now. In trex 700 i use telemetry 3.40 per cell buzzer and in Fusion just a buzzer 3.40 per cell. After 1 minute of 3d the buzzer buzz.\ The batteries are not puffed ,charge them 1 or 2 c and never leave voltage drop lower than 3.75 v (no load). My set up is:both helis have Phoenix 120 and 160 HV and MX 600 and 700 motor. I have two Hyperion costed 155 Euro 5000 35c are puffed and behaving the same like nanotech. I got them 5-1-2012. I was expecting more from nanotech. After searching the market I found Align 5200 40c 112 Euro shied and I ordered 2.Lets see.

It's a very nice battery for T-Rex 700E for 3D flying, not heavy as 5000mAh, while the flight time is same as heli doesn't need to carry extra weight on board.

I'm flying T-Rex 700E. I used to fly Nano-Tech 45-90C 4000 mAh for 3D. But these batteries rocks!!! It's a very nice for 3D flying, not heavy as 5000mAh, while the flight time is same and 1 minute longer then 4000 mAh. I can do continuous tic-tocs and the batteries are even not getting warm

I got a set of these packs for my 700E running the scorpion 4525LE 520kv motor and they are great packs, the weight of the 4400mah packs make the 700E feel awesome,you will be very happy with them, at 2300 head speed the packs come down at ambient temp here in Florida.
