The Hobbyking SU-29 is a superbly priced and nice sized 3D/Aerobatic model that is just the ticket for some low cost 3D fun.
The lightweight airframe is suprisingly well made given the price and the bright covering is perfect for orientation. The quality of the hardware is also a suprise given the price and includes CF control horns & wing tube, piano wire control rods and a comprehensive package of fasteners, etc. As you would expect from a model of this size, it is also practical with plug in wings and a large canopy secured by strong magnets.
If you are looking for an aerobatic model that is both cheap to buy and to build, this great looking Sukhoi is just the job!

could you strap a .40 size 2 cycle glow to this thing? I already have engine boxes and plenty of different mounts. If she would hold up structurally I have no doubt I could make the engine "fit" lol Just tryin to cheat some weight n money in tryin one of these electrics n converting it to nitro lol I was askin about the 3d slick and wheather the power system out of a 1200mm dynam mustang would work on 4s with a 45 amp esc but know I'm thinkin maybe just strap one of my extra nitro engines to one of these little birds heh heh
DUPUY C of G is 110mm behind the leading edge, where the wing meets the body. 5mm either way for you style of flying. 3D flying - 5mm. Pattern flying 5mm.
Hello,
propeller for which the configuration of my Sukhoy Su29 buy from you:
- Brushless 3548 - 700kv
- SBEC 60A Hobbyking
- Battery 2200 mAh 4S1P 40-50c
thank you
Jannick
Hello Dupuy, usually in the motor specs there would be recommended prop range. Just a suggestion, start with lowest pitch and lowest diameter. (remember increasing either pitch or diameter will increase load on the motor (Amperes). Use a watt meter and start increasing either pitch or diameter in increments so that full throtle does not exceed peak amps.... or if you can't fly but with throtle to the wall then so that full throtle does not exceed constant amps specified by motor manufacturer. Also remember that increase in pitch will increase the airspeed of the plane but acceleration is suffering and decrease in pitch will increase acceleration with corresponding drop off in airspeed. This is best I could do with the ammount of information you provided... good luck
I am planning to use the following for this plane is that good enough for thouse who have it ?? NTM Prop Drive 35-48 Series 900KV / 815W turnigy Plush 60A ESC 3S 2200 2-50 or 45-90 C batteries
Which servo would be good for the above setup
Hextronik MG-14 14g/2.2kg/0.11sec aircraft servo (PRODUCT ID: MG14) or Hobby King Digital Servo 2.2kg / 12.5g / .11sec (PRODUCT ID: DS-929MG)
For those who own this model how is the elevator and the horizontal stab support. Do i need to reinforce anywhere using Cf rods ?
Kellyann sorry this digs not help as u didn't answer the question on servo. Iam thinking if 14mg will be too big and will it mount on the existing holes in the plane. any idea on that if u own this plane ?
VimanChalak I have PRODUCT ID: ZH-YAK55 ZH Yak55 EP ARF 44.4inch which is very simular. Mine takes 9g metal gear servo. I do not know what servos this takes other than what the listing says (4 x Digital High Torque 9g~12g Servo). That is why I did not answer that part. Sorry. I was vage sorry. Motor esc eithr battery and prop good.
Hello Viman, with your set up you really have room to play. For real good 3D you need appx (according to general wisdom) 200W per pound. According to specs flying weight of the plane is 2.76 pounds which means with your set up running everything at the peak power you may even be overpowered but by tuning down a bit you will have no problem with overheating components and greatly reduce the stress on components...
Nikita one last question for you. What is your setup for this model ? ESC/Motor/servo/prop ANy mod's done to the setup ? How sturdy is it ? Any pictures/videos of your model ?
Hello, you can use park size servoes, but i would prefer some servoes with a little more power. I could be these: PRODUCT ID: DS939MG
They're both strong and cheap. I use them in one of my planes, very good servoes. Hope it was helpful, if it was, feel free to credit me :-)
If you have any further questions, feel free to ask.
I doubt this is the exact sukhoi from Sebart china factory, the wing tip and main fuselage structure is different. Mayne another factory copy Sebart design. Will probably buy one and compare it with my existing fleet of Sebart planes.
I believe the plane is a tmpro. I got a scratch and dent plane with this color scheme. Mine is tmpro supervision ep.

1 thumbs up!
The model has a very good structure and rigidity, covered with so-so, as well as manufacturing quality.motorama looking shaky, it is necessary to strengthen the wings to create one cool , pleased with the equipment and carbon =) in other matters will collect and look for flaws in the assembly, and so d so the maximum score of 4, not bad for printsape hobbiking

I bought this plane because I saw people comparing it to the Sebart SU-29 that I have previously had. Christ only knows what those reviewers were smoking but after buying this shodily built, poor excuse for quality plane, I figure I better have some of it too! Spend your money on something else instead, the dominatrix is not bad considering the cheap price and flys very well too, this thing should just be abandoned to the scrap heap. HK, throw the excess stock you have left in the bin and save us all taking up some serious drugs to compensate.
