Replace the standard 2000mAh Spektrum DX8 NiMh battery pack with Lipoly capacity and spend less time charging and more time in the air!
Lithium polymer batteries last much longer than NiMH packs as they have a far better energy density. The Turnigy DX8 Intelligent Transmitter Pack also features a built in voltage protection circuit, this circuit will automatically cutoff once the pack drops to 2.85v per cell ensuring the battery will not be damaged if you accidentally leave your transmitter switched on. The voltage protection circuit will also restrict charging to 4.2v per cell ensuring the pack can never be over charged.
Peace of mind charging, extended run times and Lipoly convenience like never before, Upgrade your DX8 transmitter with Intelligent Lipoly technology today!
i dont understand how to use is. someone can help me
About balancing battery is there a lead wire to plug in some where for balance? all lipo need balancing.
Like Tiquana said, balancing is done internally. Look down a little further at the video I've linked on how to setup your transmitter for using and charging this battery.
Changing connector is perfect for my rx box! 4000 mah are fantastic as capacity for my endurance racing with 1/8 gas engine 2wd classic 2C discharge power enough to rx and 2 servos Turnigy 1268HV thanks for your help

Hi Christian, Mr Krinkle is absolutely right, there is no balance plug as it is designed specifically to be charged within the transmitter using the built in transmitter charging system. you should only charge it when fitted into the transmitter. I have been using one of these for over a year now and get hours from each charge, with this you don't need to worry if your transmitter is charged if you just want to pop out for an unplanned flight.
thanks mine is now charging not sure why it would not before maybe because i thought it was at 7.4 so when i discharged it by using it to fly then it only wanted to go to that begining cycle it seem that way. i kept pushing start and went past it then it just went and took the .50amp but i did have to begin two more times like every time the charger went one line up on the little battery it shows it stopped but it charges all others fine so ithis must have a protector in it thats good if it does it just works both ways so it wont charge or discharge to fast. you think maybe?
7.4 is the 30 percent charge in 2 cell lipo. we shouldn't go below then 7.4. If external multichemistry lipo charger is not charging it more then 7.4, then the lipo is gone. otherwise something wrong with TX charging unit.
the chrger is great so the lipo was bad from day one only round three weeks old right now! sucks tell me if your tx turigy 4000 from here charges to 8.4 ?
The transmitter will charge the lipo battery. First replace the stock battery with the lipo. Then go into setting of the transmitter and select lipo for battery type. Then plug in the transmitter with the stock transmitter charger.
mine wont charge through my d x 8. not sure why yet? though i might send it in to have it serviced because it did charge when i spiced the wire and put on jst. and the protection worked great.
Some time ago I "adjusted" the battery compartment on my Futaba T6J to take this battery and it is just fantastic. I use it for sailing and I can go for months without having to recharge. I am going to order at least one more soon and make it fit in my T8J that I use for flying my helicopters. It is just a terrific upgrade. Yes you have to modify the case a bit but I'll take the chance on warranty (they are out of warranty now anyway) for the reduced hassle of low/dead batteries every time I turn around. It has been in my T6J for over a year now and never missed a beat.
Fabulous
Oops, forgot to say that I had to change the plug to work with the Futaba and that I always take the battery out of the radio to charge it using my normal Lipo chargers.
You probably won't like my advice because it would involve no Spektrum radios. I refurse to use them so I have no advice about it. I think you have to change something in one of the menus to tell it that it is dealing with a Lipo
No, this pack is not made from 18650 batteries (they would be too big). 18650's are Lithium Ion, where this transmitter pack is Lithium Polymer (2 cells).
You are still paying a low price for a good price great battery. The cells aren't matched. That's why it not a true 4000 mah battery. It's a great battery
I would suspect the low voltage cutoff is stopping you from draining it that far. Most battery manufacturers will recommend only draining 80% of the battery, which in this case would be 3200MAh.
Nice one Hobby King, you did it again. Ok, it cost me 24.00 bucks after shiping, still alot less then spektrum. I cant wait for you guys to come out with more stuff like spektrum.

I had to take the foam out of the back of the battery compartment to make it fit. Charging for first time now.

awesome battery.Just charged it at 1.5 amps and took an hour on my turnigy 8150 charger.battery came off at 8.2 volts.when you turn your radio on go to system settings and switch the battery power from nimh to lipo and the radio will adjust the low voltage alarm.HK hit it out of the park with this one,50 dollar savings over spektums battery.
Battery arrived, it fits perfectly in its place. it was charged 7.62V. Confirmed on radio the Lipo, added the extra rubber corner support. Will post after i will charge the batt while in radio.

Super produit, et beaucoup, beaucoup moins cher que spektrum qui abuse un peu sur le prix d'un simple lipo 2s.
Plus besoin de recharger tous les 4 jours. En passant la radio en mode lipo, la charge se coupe toute seule. Parfait !
Great product, and much, much cheaper than Spektrum abusing a little on the price of a single 2s lipo.
No need to recharge every four days. By the way radio lipo mode, charging turns off by itself. Perfect!
