Hey guys, i slapped 4 of these bad boys on my diy H-Quad with zip ties and it flies awesome with cheap 10x4.5SF props. Check out flight footage.

Yeeah buddy! Love them. My helis are very lonely now.

I was about to order four of these for a quad and just realised there are no prop adaptors in the USA warehouse. I dont want to wait for adaptors the local hobby shop carrys them but they cost more than this motor. I am not sure what to do. I think HURC has somthing like this and there shipping is only $2
 krashNburn 55 points
HK has it (PRODUCT ID: GON-D3T6) but the ones i have are not perfectly balanced. I used them in my H-quad but WingCam or GoPro picks up vibrations causing jello in video. I think you'll be better off with HURC. Shipping is cheap and quick!

Glad you're having good luck with them :) I bought 5 of these cuz there cheap and so am I. 4 worked great. Have them on a 330 firefly. Only problem was when putting all together the first time, when I plugged the batt in one of the motors had a short in the windings somehow and not only seized the motor but also smoked a perfectly good 12amp blue esc that I know was good cuz I was running 2205c motors no prob with it. replaced the motor/esc with a spare and now it goes like stink. Almost over-powered. Have to jack the expo on throttle up to 70 so it don't get away from me. Fun as hell in acro mode though.

This looks like but is not the same motor as the AXN uses. I bought 3 of them to put on small light weight foam Wings, but it does not have the power to push them. It must be for a slow fly plane. Very disappointed but I should have read the description better??

This motor has much to low a of KV rating for a wing. I an guessing being light weight wing you would be running a 2 cell. I would expect to be using a 10 inch prop with this low of an rpm. This would be a great motor for a slow fly or 3d plane. On a small wing you need somthing in the 2800kv range.

I use this on a 750g flying wing. I have had many on various wings from 400g up to 900g. With a 8x6 prop it has nice power. I prefer longer flight times so I do not use high KV motors. This motor on a 2200mah 3s and a 750g flying wing can get you 18 min of calm flight or 10 min of full throttle.

Anyone know the amount of watts this motor will put out?
 chanyote66 61 points
mine likes to sit around 120-130 watts with 3S and a 8x6 prop.

Where can I find a replacement shaft for this motor?
 LosLocos 9 points
I have tried finding a replacement shaft with no success. However, I am in the US and it is almost the same price to buy a new motor from the USA warehouse than to pay shipping for a new shaft from the international warehouse. I just need to stop crashing my plane....

Yeah I hear you there, I ended buying a new motor instead. With the prices on hobby king you can't really complain about buying a new motor. I wound buying the turnigy aerodrodrive 1100kv for around ten dollars or so and it's working great.

What size screws would be used to hold this motor down?
 hokiephex 29 points
I used 2mm socket heads. They work great and hold the motors down perfectly on my hexa.

Hey HobbyKing, why is this motor NOT on the USA motor section?
 tractor 124 points
Yaaaa. They put in the motor section now.
 Saios 19 points
It was, I think wasn't a big seller and stopped stocking it.. There are several good equivalent motors around.

which prop adapter is needed for this motor and why don't you put that information in the motor description, telling people which one they need.
 slim1357 18 points
It's a 3mm shaft so any 3mm prop adapter is fine provided your props fit on the adapter.

Awesome motor works well with my tricoper. The motor is well balanced and is currently swinging a 10x3 sf prop. after about 10 minutes of flight the motor is only slightly warm. highly recommend this motor

Pretty satisfied with these motors. Have four on a 450mm quad-x setup spinning 8x6 props. With a 45c 3cell 2200 I get around 10-12 minutes of flight. Motors come down warm but not too warm. At this price you can afford to get a spare or 2 but I have had no trouble with these so far. 5 stars.

Excellent motors for my diy H-quad. After 15-16 min flight with 3s 5000mah Zippy motors and esc barely warm. I bought these 'coz they're cheap and wasn't expecting much out of them but to my surprise it exceeded my expectations. I will buy more for other projects. Check out my H-quad video... youtu.be/8HdKVyJUolA
