More than just a fancy name. TURNIGY nano-tech lithium polymer batteries are built with an LiCo nano-technology substrate complex greatly improving power transfer making the oxidation/reduction reaction more efficient, this helps electrons pass more freely from anode to cathode with less internal impedance.
In short, less voltage sag and a higher discharge rate than a similar density lithium polymer (non nano-tech) battery.
Unfortunately with other big brands, numbers, ratings and graphs can be fudged. Rest assured, TURNIGY nano-techs are the real deal, delivering unparalleled performance!
The nano-core technology in lithium ion batteries is the application of nanometer conductive additives.
1) The nanometer conductive additives form ultrastrong electron-conducting networks in the electrodes which can increase electronic conductivity. 2) These additives create a superstrong ability for imbibition in the carrier liquid to supply more ion channels. This improves the ability of ion transmission and ion diffusion. Through improving electronic conductivity and ion transmission, the impedance is reduced and the polarization of high rate discharge decreases greatly.
Advantages over traditional Lipo batteries: -Power density reaches 7.5 kw/kg. -Less Voltage sag during high rate discharge, giving more power under load. -Internal impedance can reach as low as 1.2mΩ compared to that of 3mΩ of a standard Lipoly. -Greater thermal control, pack usually doesnt exceed 60degC -Thickness swelling during heavy load doesnt exceed 5%, compared to 15% of a normal Lipoly during heavy load. -Higher capacity during heavy discharge. More than 90% at 100% C rate. -Fast charge capable, up to 15C on some batteries. -Longer Cycle Life, almost double that of standard lipoly technology.
I orderd two of these packs one of them looks like it might be bad as the pack is splitting apart down the side it can not be closed and i can see the silver internal packs there is a 2 mill gap and the other doesnt have any gap should i charge and use this pack or is it becoming unstable? Should i return for a exchange and hope it doesnt pop on the way back?
Same thing happened to me...I got 4 and 1 came defective having broken apart in half showing both silver packed cells! I wrapped tape around it to secure and charged it anyways to see if it would work with out blowing me up? With luck, it didn't blow, but 1 out of 2 cells were defective not able to charge at all! So far other 3 are fine for now....
No, it is not. There are a few brick packs that are but check fitment before you buy them. Tamiya m05 will not take the bricks without modification but the m06 will.
Hi Ross. I run this battery in my TT01, with a standard 7.2V motor and ESC, and it works fine.
The only thing you should remember is that not all brushed ESC's have LiPo cutoff.
If your don't, you need to be very careful so you don't drain the battery completely.
Hope this helps. Happy new year.
It fits perfect on my M03 and M06.
For CC-01 Wrangler, this battery is a little bit longer, so I do not use the battery holder cap on CC-01. The CC-01 body will hold it.
For CR-01 Hard top, it fits
Just bought 2x these for my standard Losi XXX-SCT and found i had less power and shortly less run time then my Intellect IP 4200mah 40c battery with no burst. people's thoughts?
It does fit easily in the savage xs (I actually have foam spacers to stop it moving around inside), i bought 4 of these for my xs and my mad force ve, BUT the packs get hot and swell and the 14 guage wires even hotter and its only a stock rtr xs flux! 40c x 4.2 = 168 and i think the flux vapour esc is only about 100-130A so it sbouldnt be getting hot! I would strongly reccomend a higher discharge battery for your savage.

Excellent product!! Fits in the chassis RC Car 1:10 - Tamiya TT-01, DF-02 and DF-03RA. Upper rounding accurately follows the battery compartment in the chassis of the DF-03ra from Tamiya. The rounding is also at the bottom of pack. I recommend!!

Nice product! Fits nicely in my TT-01 and CC-01! No modification needed... but if you intend to use it with a brushless system or anything over 30A its better to change the connector to XT-60, HXT 4mm or Deans! For brushed systems the Tamiya plug is just fine...
got it today.. nice hardcased pack.. lighter than the nimh 3 times the duration of my order 1.8A nimh and much more power for the drift car.. well done on this one HK
these fit nicely in my E-Zilla and give me good run times. I got the last ones with the Tamiya plugs but were easily changed. They now come with HXT 4mm connetors. Great for bringing your old rc back to life.
