These are very nice and will give your spartan a kick just make sure your motor doesn't draw too much current as these can give a bust current of 250 amps. Depending on what speed controller you are using, you could potentially damage or ruin it if your motor tries to overdraw amperage in, say, a full throttle sprint. Good luck!
Could be several things. I would check the balance on the cells 1st. Take a voltometer and check the voltage on the balance plug, negative to black and positive to each of the remaining wires. If it is out of balance most high end chargers will not charge it.
if 1 cell is too low like Ben said most charger will not charge it, I have been able to give a low cell a quick few sec charge with nimh setting to get the cell up enuff to have my charger charge it normally.
Havnt got to use as of yet but fitment in traxxas 1/10 revo and summit is great. A must have for anyone wanting good cheap lipo power for there traxxas model and more! Ill deff buy more of these lipos.

30 cycles and still going strong. They've been knocked around, wet, sitting in the bottom of a vibrating boat hull, left charged and sitting for a month and they still deliver the juice. Will be buying more soon.
