Turnigy 1300mAh 6S 35C Lipo Pack (450 helicopter HK/Trex/Rave/E4 etc)

The new number one in performance and price!
The new Turnigy Lipoly packs deliver full capacity at the said C rate.
You wont find a better deal in Lithium Polymer batteries anywhere!

This lipo is designed for use in 450 class helicopters such as the HK450 PRO, TREX450 PRO, Rave 450, Beam E4 etc...

By running a lower KV motor (around 1700KV), you can achieve longer flight times and extremely high performance (when compared to a standard 3S setup) due to the increased efficiency of a higher voltage setup in your 450 class helicopter!

Hi, some time ago I bought 5 packs , but the packs are labeled 30c and not 35c.

This pack fit into trex 450 pro v2 without mods? Thanks in advance
 ginsu1791 12 points
This will not fit into a Pro without cutting the frame. This does however, fit just fine in the Sport.

So, does this actualy fit into a 450 without any modding?

Are there any specific motors, sold in Hobby King, for this setup?

This one should work well:

This is not suitable I'm afraid... it is rated for 2-4 s batteries, not 6!
 TX_Winds 26 points
There really is no hard voltage limit on motors. It is a temperature limit, as long as you do not pull more than the 500 watt limit it does not matter what your voltage is.
 FRNFRN 139 points
I see... and what about the KV, isn't it too much? (according Byron's saying it should be 1500 to 1600n KV...)
 TX_Winds 26 points
The average 3S 450 uses approximately a 3500 kv motor. If you double the voltage you should use half the kv. That would suggest a 1750 kv for a 6S 450. An 1860 kv on 6S will allow for a slightly higher than stock headspeed, but it wouldn't be a significant change.
 TX_Winds 26 points
It would be about the same as using a 3720 kv on 3S.

*FRNFRN - Regarding the motor KV, I mentioned 1500~1600kv which is indeed a bit low. Some guys are using motors in this range with a larger pinion, but about 1700kv would be ideal. Just wanted to clarify this. After looking back at the daily video I did, my recommendation was a bit low. Happy flying!! -Byron

Hello everyone! good idea to make 6s lipo. But you could make the nanotech 6s 1500mah 45c and have the same weight. Very useful for 70mm edf models. An example: edf with a 2100kv and a 6-blade with these batteries is 1.3 to get real boost. thanks HK

You rock Hobbyking, now I don't have to make em.

OMG - Finally... Good decision to make these for the 450 6S fans..

Can we have them in the long version (same size as a 3S 2200mah pack) - ie: approx 105mm long.. PLEASE....

i buy 5 to test in may t-rex 450 pro fbl whit scorpion 2100kv

They finally make a 6s that small for a hv450 setup. But two 1300mAh 3s packs together are cheapier plus other planes use that size packs and the new blade 300x will use that too.
 branflake12 114 points
woohoo! thanks anthony!
 irwinfc 87 points
i agree with you, hugocraft! only 9 bucks for a nanotech 25-50C with the same capacity and a 6-gram difference. i can also charge the 3S packs in parallel. likelihood of damaging both packs in a crash is lower compared to a single 6S pack. good idea by HK, though!

Anyone else notice the 14AWG leads? Great for Dean's users! May pick some up when they're in the US warehouse. BTW- had to modify battery tray on 450pro to get the canopy to fit using a similar dimensioned battery. Cut the carbon frame to make the placement 1cm lower, and cut the battery tray to retain the canopy "lip", and drilled new holes for the battery tray. Easy enough to do with just wire cutters, a file for smoothing edges, and a drill bit. Or, just a Dremel. But be careful with carbon dust, and know that carbon splinters are extremely sharp.

The packs will fit in the T-Rex 450 Sport without any modifications.

Hi everyone, In the T-450 1300 mAh battery pro should be placed with the high profile like the width.  * Tested with a friend 6S configuration and were very happy with the result, the heli feels more stable. The motor, batteries Esc and go without temperature and at lower cost. Increased flight time!!!!! 100% recommended.

These are perfect for a 6s Trex 450 Sport or a 450 Pro (frame must be modded). I fly a governed 3200 and 3400 rpm with the Align 450mx motor. Will not bog!!! They come down noticeably cooler than my previous 20c 6s packs. The balancing leads are pretty long and will let you comfortably connect them to your balancer without having to get creative. Packs have stayed balanced after first charge. Time will tell how they last, I will try and report back after 50 flights. For USA buyers, I think these are the lowest cost 35c packs (USA wherehouse) The next cheapest (not sold at hobbyking) are only a little bit cheaper and puff after a few cycles.
