LarsAM yes remove the C clip and loosen the grub screw. Lift the outer housing off. With a soft metal drift, punch the shaft out. Then refit how you wish it. I hope this helps
OK, after bashing the shaft most of the way with the hammer, and using pliers on the flat spot to twist (with a lot of force) the shaft out, I tried the spare shaft which was perfect fit, rather than too tight. Made a flat spot near the mid-shaft notch to fix it in place. Now to test it out!
Thanks. I've already ordered it... I assumed it still came with accessories from the reviews and discussion. HK needs to be clearer on what does and does not come with their motors... The extra 2 week wait for an accessory pack is a sure way to p*ss off good customers
Anyone using this motor in a pheonix 2000 glider? I have the A22-20L and it has so much power but weighs 80 grams. Somewhat heavy. If this motor, the A20-10S has enough power, I will use it in the pheonix. Lighter motor may still have good power. Any thoughts?
This motor is only 49g. The 2209 is only a couple of grams lighter (3g to be exact), but the KD A22-10S has more power. Given the final weight of the engines depends on how much solder you use to attach the connectors, I'd pick this motor any day...
does anyone have an Axi motor of about the same size to campare these to> an e-flite park 300 is about the same as this, but does not work as well as this one.
Hi Steve, I would say about the same performance. The 28-30 is lower KV so can run a 9 x 6/ 10 x 4.5 wheras on the KD A22-10S I run a 8 x 6,9 x 4.5. I have used both in my GWS FW 190 and both fly it well on 50% throttle-loops,bunts etc. Very unscale on WOT. However the Turnigy 28-30 has already burnt out despite static WOT amps being within spec & should be less in flight. My brother has it on the bench ready for a rewind with heavy gauge wire. Andy
Very nice and powerful motor. im using this with a 10x4.7 prop on my GWS slow stick. it pulls it easily and its very quiet. i enjoy this and its two larger modes,.and for the price, they are unbeatable. they are probably just about as good as Axi motors
The 28-30 is more versatile (better tolerance to different voltage) and more powerful, but also more power hungry. The KD A22-10S will deliver about 120W and 700g thrust at just 14A (static) with a 9x4.7 on 3s. I think I picked the A22-10S because I had the right ESC already.

30 thumbs up!
i give it a 3 start is because the design is nice but i power up motor with a 7x6 prop and 1600mah 3s 20c. it work well at first and i dun feel the thrust and it measure ard 14amp. so i up the prop to 8x6 and 2200mah 3s 25c. and at 3/4 throttle the motor start to die off so i give it a try again and the die off and the motor cant spin and look like the coil had burn off. so i was a bit upset as i just bought it and spolit it in a day. sob :(

5 thumbs up!

Was will man mehr, keine Probleme, krftiger kleiner Motor. In Verbindung mit einem 18A Turnigy-ESC hervorragend fr kleine Motorflieger bis 500gr geeignet.
