Do these come filled with diff oil? I tried to check but cannot remove the screws... Thanks S

There is some grease in, no silicon oil.

I had it apart today. Screws are Loctited in so you really need a good driver and solid suport to get the screws out. Otherwise a nice solid unit! just needed some grease, without wear signs after 5 packs of 3S!

Is this completely metal because i have made my throttle have 99% of -expo and i keep stripping them

Yes.. All metal gears, metal gear pins and metal ball bearings. :)

You can use it, but only in the 2WD modell! A lot of part are the same 2wd sct and desert racing buggy. You can check it at car spare parts.

Its not the same cause the Kyosho is a Ball Diff. But iam quite sure it will fit.

they are not the same..I had this buggy..the diffs are totally different.the gear boxes are even different in size..

Don't know that car, but if researching online, search for compatibility with kyosho ultima DB (or SC), thats the original buggy this diff is intended for. More likely to find results.

these diffs are not shimmed correctly so the teeth are not meshed enough.make sure to check it out yourself before fitting or it will not last long.But the funny thing is hobbyking dont sell the additional shims to adjust it correctly!!!

Hi, I have read these need shimming to work and not strip gears (I have wrecked mine first go), how do you shim them? What sized shims?

the shims are actually called washers and if you look on the spear parts page for the turnigy db you will find washers 0.3 or something like that.

Is this a sealed diff? If so, does it use an O-ring?

Yes, it use an O-ring.

i bought this hoping it would replace my sc10 rear end diff. no it will not work same size differnet gear tooth count but its very well made better than associateds rear diff for sure
