Flow it does not ... there is no inlet passages for the fan - nor fins that the fan air moves across. It does move some air around, but just what can bypass around the outside of the fan blade. Strange design, IMHO. I plan to drill some small holes in the sides to create flow over the fins on the outside.
Dennis, if you look carefully you will see little holes in the side between the small fins. I've ordered 1 of these, as it will probably fit into the limited space I will have around an Axial truck's motor. I hope it will work forme.
Now, on a second closer look, I see I saw the HK watermark as holes.. But anyway, that will be the place where I will drill a lot of small holes if needed.
Got this fan. There are no holes for the air "intake". it is configures to suck the air out so would only work on the open can motors that have holes cut into the sides.
The poor fan only suck vacuum. There is no place for air to come in under the fan, or between the motor and the unit. I'll dril a lot of 1,5mm holes between the "fins" on both sides, that should make the fan effective, and get cooling done. Should work well then.
