F4U Corsair 1400mm (PNF) (USA Warehouse)

F4U Corsair 1400mm (PNF) (USA Warehouse)
F4U Corsair 1400mm (PNF) (USA Warehouse)

This Corsair is a cheap, nice sized Plug and Fly model that is made from tough EPO foam and is a little larger than your average Parkflyer, despite it's size, this F4-U only requires commonly used 3s packs due to it's lightweight construction.

Being Plug and Fly, all servo's are pre-installed and there is plenty of power from the supplied brushless motor for realistic scale flight and basic warbird style aerobatics. This F4-U features fixed landing gear and comes with a photo manual, all hardware, glue & tools. Being Plug and Fly, it is also very quick to assemble and only requires a 4 channel radio.

As well as being cheap, this F4-U Corsair is also practical, the wings are 2 pc plug in type, the supplied under-carriage is very sturdy, it uses a standard type prop (so no special replacement prop is needed should it damaged, a standard 3 blader will fit straight on) there is an easy access, large battery tray and so on. If you are looking for a warbird that is a little larger than a Parkfly model without spending big bucks, this is it!

I WAS LOOKING AT THE DYNAM 5CH. WITH RETRACTS FOR A HUNDRED NINETEEN BUCKS AT A DIFFERENT SUPPLIER BUT ITS ONLY 1290MM WS. THIS 0NE IS A FULL 1400MM WS. BUT NO RETRACTS I WONDER WITCH IS THE BETTER ONE ALSO IS THIS ONE ABLE TO BE MODDED TO TAKE RETRACTS. I SURE WANT ONE.(OR THE OTHER) CANT MAKE UP MY MIND YET.

I installed HK's twist and turn retracts (PRODUCT ID: HK-5095) which required some carving of the foam and installing hardwood blocks, etc, but worth the effort. You can see my reviews and comments under Stick & Tissue on the Australian site. Also, I posted a maiden flight video on YouTube which shows the retracts working. Look up Ozzienuck. Sorry about the wind noise.

The dynam plane is nice and flys great but if your taking off of grass the retracts are weak I have several of the dynams and their great on concrete but stink on grass I hope this helps you decide.

Chances are the Dynam Corsair would be a better model. 1290mm is not a bad size. I have the Dynam 1200mm Spitfire and it's quite visible at a distance and flies very well. Yes the Lanyu Corsair is a full 1400mm but you have to invest a few more bucks and time to do the retracts. And then you may want to upgrade the motor which probably means upgrading the ESC. It's a good platform if you like to experiment and modify. The subject of grass runways is a bit misleading. I mean how long is the grass? I had to rake the gear forward on my Spitfire and it still tends to nose stand on our short grass here if I don't apply power very carefully and with full up elevator until it gets rolling. However, landing is no problem.

I have this plane however I need a couple of replacement psrts due to a hard crash. Do you have any replacement parts available?

The plane is made by Lanyu There are several links on Google to their site. You might want to start there to see if they have parts available.
