Super Chipmunk Composite 1615mm Glow (ARF) (USA Warehouse)

The Super Chipmunk is a great looking sport model that is designed to take up to a powerful 0.60 glow engine. The durable composite fuselage is nicely made and not too thick, the paint finish is excellent as is the superbly applied covering. The removable one peice wing is balsa, as are the tailfeathers, which helps to prevent the usual tail heavy tendency often associated with scale fibreglass models. As well as a quality and comprehensive hardware package, the Chippy also comes with a fuel tank & fittings, engine mount and a nicely finished glassfiber cowl and wheel pants.

Despite the composite construction, flying weight is not excessive, this model is the perfect sport scale aerobatic flyer and the attractive, bright colour scheme is great for orientation as well as being a nice representation of this great looking aircraft. The Super Chipmunk is practical and very, very durable, treated well, this very attractive Super Chippy will look good for years to come, the perfect sport scale model!

Despite it says GLOW I´*m wondering if it does fit with a Turnigy TGY52 engine and a 20x8 prop. Thanks

That is way to big. maybe a RCG 15cc, I think the fuselage will break from the weight, and the prop will hit the ground.

got this from hobbyking's ebay store. excellent fiberglass work and no loose covering. i built mine as an electric. used a turnigy 4238, 50 amp esc, 4s 3300 batt and a 13x6 prop. power enough for loops, rolls and decent top speed. take offs and landings are easy. that's the good stuff. minuses are no manual (have fun with the tailwheel assy) and the tailfeather mounting method is less than desirable. if going electric dont skimp on making the motor mount as hefty as you can, you'll need the weight to achieve cg, which for me ended up at 4" back from the leading edge. have fun with this one, i did.
