Use this for a mini quad, with Hextronik 1181 motors (also from HK), and Turnigy Plush 6A controllers, unmodded.
They are balanced well and are of a good quality overall. However, the plastic inserts are not good, and difficult to press in or remove.
Bit of a strange item, since it's for electric use only. Reverse rotation props were popular for pusher set-ups with nitro/gas engines because you cannot easily reverse the rotation direction of those motors. However, it is all too easy with electric, so a pusher set-up can be achieved by simply reversing the rotation and putting the prop on backwards (relative to the motor... STFU Zeeek1). The main use for reverse props is in a twin/4-engine set-up where contra-rotation is desired. a 5x5 is more of a racing prop. JASON/HK: can you offer some clarity on the intent of this prop?
Thanks guys - I've learned something. I don't agree about reduced efficiency, but multirotors make sense. I credited Jason ahead of Deadduck simply because he was fully informed (not because he's affiliated with HK). So I was on the right track.
On motors running "wrong" direction on a hard acceleration, it might happen that the prop-nut gets loose. So it is allways better to have it run the right direction. Therefore for pusher you should use pusher props. It makes no measurable differece on the power of the motor if it runs left or right way, but there is a difference in safety( prop-nut)
Great for guys like me who want to create a twin pusher jet ... No torque effect as in single prop job. I fit reverse standard prop - they balance out.
the weirdest shaped blade i have ever seen, like the quasimodo of propellers; less thrust than the gws ep 5043 mounted in pusher configuration, and the mount rings are a loose fit in the hub as well.. novelty item only i think
Good quality, good balance! The Right Hand, the Rotation the Propeller is ideal for push models (for example: RadJet, SkyFun Jet, ParkJet ...), it allows the Propeller Adapter operation in the correct direction of rotation (especially the Propeller Adapter-Colet Type). I put this Propeller installation in the Outrunners 2500KV and 3S 2200mA 20C LiPo running test, all throttle no abnormal vibration or noise occurs (I think the balance with the real APC almost), when at full throttle The test value is about 33A 320W. It is a very high C / P value of the Propeller, I will buy more.
