More than just a fancy name. TURNIGY nano-tech lithium polymer batteries are built with an LiCo nano-technology substrate complex greatly improving power transfer making the oxidation/reduction reaction more efficient, this helps electrons pass more freely from anode to cathode with less internal impedance. In short; less voltage sag and a higher discharge rate than a similar density lithium polymer (non nano-tech) battery. For those that love graphs, it means a straighter, longer curve. For pilots it spells stronger throttle punches and unreal straight-up performance. Excellent news for 3D pilots!
Unfortunately with other big brands; numbers, ratings and graphs can be fudged. Rest assured, TURNIGY nano-techs are the real deal, delivering unparalleled performance!
*The nano-core technology in lithium ion batteries is the application of nanometer conductive additives.
1) The nanometer conductive additives form ultrastrong electron-conducting networks in the electrodes which can increase electronic conductivity. 2) These additives create a superstrong ability for imbibition in the carrier liquid to supply more ion channels. This improves the ability of ion transmission and ion diffusion. Through improving electronic conductivity and ion transmission, the impedance is reduced and the polarization of high rate discharge decreases greatly. Advantages over traditional Lipo batteries; -Power density reaches 7.5 kw/kg. -Less Voltage sag during high rate discharge, giving more power under load. -Internal impedance can reach as low as 1.2mΩ compared to that of 3mΩ of a standard Lipoly. -Greater thermal control, pack usually doesnt exceed 60degC -Thickness swelling during heavy load doesnt exceed 5%, compared to 15% of a normal Lipoly during heavy load. -Higher capacity during heavy discharge. More than 90% at 100% C rate. -Fast charge capable, up to 15C on some batteries. -Longer Cycle Life, almost double that of standard lipoly technology.
Hey guys. Bit new to the electric flying thing. When charging this battery what should set the amps too on the charger? Flying a durafly F3A micro. Getting 3mins or so flying time and im wondering if im charging it right? Cheers
It's a 130x with custom electronics and rotary servos. Runs tarot zyx-s 3 HXT-500's, a 0.06sec digital tail servo, XP12a esc and orange RX receiver. Not your typical 130x
How well do these work after 30-50 cycles? I'm looking for a 3s to power my 130x and this looks like it fits the size/weight category. A 240mAH 3s would be perfect.
For those interested: I intend to use these to power my 5.8ghz 12v FPV gear. After 50 mins I still have video! Unless you fly 5 packs in one evening, these should be great for multi-rotors!
I use mine for fpv too. Works great for both HK and ImmersionRC transmitters. Absolutely no noise compared to using a single battery to power up my quad and A/V TX even with video filter, and doesn't weigh anything at all.
Most likely for LEDs or brushless flyers under 2oz (60g). It will not have sufficient capacity to maintain a decent voltage for EDF due to the huge current draw.
This Battery is just the right thing to use in the Losi Micro Rally Brushless 1/24 scale car. With a Battery lead change on the car this cheaper by price battery will put this 4WD Beast in to fast to control mode!!!
I often purchase 3S-5S batteries and disassemble them for individual cells, or to make smaller batteries. Great for micro helicopters and boats. Low self discharge rate on these high-quality packs means they're ready when you want to use them.

jhon827, how long can you power the ImmersionRC Tx module for, using this small battery? I just realised you are using a quad so flight times will probably be short anyway.
Love this battery!! Makes my SparrowHawk (my 4mm foam design) fly like a little pylon racer ;-). Very light and compact. So far, no cell/balance issues. I'm just in the break in period, but expect no issues with the reported 5C charge rates.
