Turnigy TrackStar 1/10th Scale 60A Car ESC Version 2
it sure does. it can handle three s lipo. This motor rocks. Put it in my slash with 19 tooth pinion, and the torque and top end is grreat. running it with 60 amp x car esc from hobbyking
This motor rocks. Put it in my slash with 19 tooth pinion, and the torque and top end is grreat. running it with 60 amp x car esc from hobbyking, with 7 cell ninmh batteries. build quality is good, and it has adjustable marked endbell timing. totally worth it. and, it only runs at 98 degrees.
with the right gearing (stock you should be able to get around 35mph) you should be able to squeeze 40 out of it but if your running large tires you will need a heatsink and fan for it to keep it good and cool
can I use this motor with a Turnigy TrackStar 1/10th Scale 60A Car ESC Version 2. and if i can't what esc woud you recommend me for the Turnigy SCT 2WD 1/10 Brushless Short Course Truck (KIT)?
Planned that motor for 2wd slash, but that motor does have cooling holes.. Is it needed to cover those holes so dirt cant go in or is it ok to leave them open? Thanks
look it realy shouldent matter if dirt gets in this motor has a in bult fan that is brass so dust wont hurt it u will know if a rock ghets cought cos it makes a noise just blow it out if this happens
You dont need to cover the cooling holes. The only thing is that you need to clean the motor sometimes. What is very easy with this motor. But the positive side with them are that you get your motor temp down.
It is better to use higher turn motor for you slash 4x4. 17.5T is recommended

1 thumbs up!
Good motor, but my piece has a little rusty bolts and magnet inside motor. Nothing catastrophic, bearings were OK. Little WD40 and is as new.

A friend of mine gave me one to try. Awesome power, smooth and quiet motor. Compared to others, higher end, this is really competitive. Thanks the reason why I bought another one for my drift machine.

Ok, so I have been driving and practicing at the track on this motor for about 2 weeks. Let me tell you, this motor surprised me. I love this motor, this is the highest kv for the trackstars that is 3cell capable according to the specs, so i figured id have to gear way down to avoid super hot temps, but no, not at all!!! im running 82/16 (high gearing for 3cell) in a xxxt on 3 cell and no temp problems at all! I dont think i go over 120 degrees. Im sure you could get one of the higher kv motors and still not get hot, i bet if i picked up a 5.5t and geared down id still have no problems! on 2cell with 16/82 gearing my trucks front wheels come off the ground no problem. on 3 cell my trucks goes somewhere between 50-60 mph! i compared it to a reedy 3300 and this motor is way faster, and runs way cooler!! and its sensored and for only 35 bucks!! BUY IT ALREADY!! i think im gonna buy one of the faster ones too. Even if this motor only lasts a year, it was well worth the money. :) im in the usa, and it took round about 30 days to arrive.

Got this for my Slash 2wd, runs pretty hot with the stock gearing (20/90), have to gear it down a little. Not tried yet, need to get smaller pinion gears. Pulls wheelies easily on 3s lipo and is really fast. Great looking motor. Bought in combination with the trackstar ESC, so far no problems with it. To bad they colored the heatsink orange and the motor red (both trackstar line). Small detail. Once again customs scr*wed me over and made things a little more expensive. Seems to be a 100pcnt catch rate when comming from HK.
