will this fit in the turnigy 1/10 2wd SCT? if so what gear ratio would be the best setup???
 Helpy 1 points
Yes, it fits. I'll gear mine 58 spur and 14T pinion with 32P both.
don  3 points - 3/20/2013

it sure does. it can handle three s lipo. This motor rocks. Put it in my slash with 19 tooth pinion, and the torque and top end is grreat. running it with 60 amp x car esc from hobbyking
Flhyr  20 points - 3/18/2013

So would this be a good upgrade to replace the titan motor in a 2wd slash? Looking for more speed while still using a 2s battery.
 Amaury 225 points
Sure you can!

This motor rocks. Put it in my slash with 19 tooth pinion, and the torque and top end is grreat. running it with 60 amp x car esc from hobbyking, with 7 cell ninmh batteries. build quality is good, and it has adjustable marked endbell timing. totally worth it. and, it only runs at 98 degrees.

can i use this motor on the 1/10 scale ECX BOOST? and does anyone know how many MPH this motor will do ? thanks
 euromen 29 points
1) yes you can, but you need ESC for brushless motors 2)no one know answer, we don't know your gear ratio *-)
 Alvin 3 points
with the right gearing (stock you should be able to get around 35mph) you should be able to squeeze 40 out of it but if your running large tires you will need a heatsink and fan for it to keep it good and cool

Can I use 4S LiFePo batteries whit this motor?
 crazycarmaniac 159 points
Hell no go 3s lipo a lot better and thinner lighter . Just dont abuse lipos abuse the lipo and it will get revenge on the rc car

How would this motor work in a B4.1 buggy with the stock ESC?
 euromen 29 points
it will be work fine if you use stock ESC XP SC450-BL (max Amp ESC 45A, motor 33A)

hi, it is open or close case-box motor?
 euromen 29 points
I has fan, so it is open case
bingen  3 points - 12/25/2012

can I use this motor with a Turnigy TrackStar 1/10th Scale 60A Car ESC Version 2. and if i can't what esc woud you recommend me for the Turnigy SCT 2WD 1/10 Brushless Short Course Truck (KIT)?
 Leon 23 points
it will work just fine, max amps is rated at 33amps so plenty of wiggle room.
 euromen 29 points
i have just this in my 1/10 and works fine. ESC stay cool
Halford  36 points - 8/28/2012

I have little experience with cars, will this be a good upgrade for the new 4WD trooper SCT?
 hellsguenni 83 points
Hi, I put this one in a Losi Strike SCT and it works perfect. Think it should do the same job in a 4WD SCT 1/10.
Teppo  9 points - 8/9/2012

Planned that motor for 2wd slash, but that motor does have cooling holes.. Is it needed to cover those holes so dirt cant go in or is it ok to leave them open? Thanks
 robdoglux 2 points
look it realy shouldent matter if dirt gets in this motor has a in bult fan that is brass so dust wont hurt it u will know if a rock ghets cought cos it makes a noise just blow it out if this happens
 On The Ground 10 points
You dont need to cover the cooling holes.
The only thing is that you need to clean the motor sometimes. What is very easy with this motor.
But the positive side with them are that you get your motor temp down.
 weezbad 215 points
Put some screen over the motor vent holes. It will prevent any sizable debris from entering the motor
peterlim80  18 points - 7/29/2012

Does this support Nimh batteries?
 amuse 5 points
it will work with any batteries as long as you dont exceed the recommanded voltage.
ludenberger  6 points - 7/16/2012

wie kann ich das Timing einstellen?
robdoglux  2 points - 7/11/2012

Is this ok to run on 3s lipo 25c
 amuse 5 points
according to the spec, yes it will handle 3s lipo, just make sure your ESC can handle 3s lipo
__wezz  5 points - 6/28/2012

Can i use this on my slash 4x4
 Chasm98 9 points
It is better to use higher turn motor for you slash 4x4. 17.5T is recommended

1 thumbs up!
Good motor, but my piece has a little rusty bolts and magnet inside motor. Nothing catastrophic, bearings were OK. Little WD40 and is as new.

A friend of mine gave me one to try. Awesome power, smooth and quiet motor. Compared to others, higher end, this is really competitive. Thanks the reason why I bought another one for my drift machine.

Ok, so I have been driving and practicing at the track on this motor for about 2 weeks. Let me tell you, this motor surprised me. I love this motor, this is the highest kv for the trackstars that is 3cell capable according to the specs, so i figured id have to gear way down to avoid super hot temps, but no, not at all!!! im running 82/16 (high gearing for 3cell) in a xxxt on 3 cell and no temp problems at all! I dont think i go over 120 degrees. Im sure you could get one of the higher kv motors and still not get hot, i bet if i picked up a 5.5t and geared down id still have no problems! on 2cell with 16/82 gearing my trucks front wheels come off the ground no problem. on 3 cell my trucks goes somewhere between 50-60 mph! i compared it to a reedy 3300 and this motor is way faster, and runs way cooler!! and its sensored and for only 35 bucks!! BUY IT ALREADY!! i think im gonna buy one of the faster ones too. Even if this motor only lasts a year, it was well worth the money. :) im in the usa, and it took round about 30 days to arrive.

Got this for my Slash 2wd, runs pretty hot with the stock gearing (20/90), have to gear it down a little. Not tried yet, need to get smaller pinion gears. Pulls wheelies easily on 3s lipo and is really fast. Great looking motor. Bought in combination with the trackstar ESC, so far no problems with it. To bad they colored the heatsink orange and the motor red (both trackstar line). Small detail. Once again customs scr*wed me over and made things a little more expensive. Seems to be a 100pcnt catch rate when comming from HK.
