Hi everyone,
anyone ever had this problem...? I put this motor into a Quanam Vandal with the turn*gy 60a sensored/sensorless esc. Everything seems to work fine accept for one thing... the motor drives in reverse!!! So it goes heaps faster in reverse than it does going forward. As for the sensitivity of the motor - its fine... much more sensitive than the unsensored motor I had in the car previously. Seems like this motor would be a great crawler motor btw.
anyway... any ideas on what I might have done wrong?
hi sbstn, thaks for your comment but this doesnt seem to work. the solution of switching wires works on a sensorless brushless motor, but not, it seems, on a sensored motor. All I get when I switch connections is a strange whirring noise from the car, and jumpy fit starts, but no drive.
Anyone else have this problem?
Yeah looks like on a sensored motor it is that simple. Might involve:
1. Switch motor wires
2. Switch sensor wires
3. Re-time the motor for the new direction.
The easier way would be to program the ESC and change direction. That of course depends on the ESC.
hi sbstn,
thanks... will try those alternatives. the esc I have is the Trackstar 60a sensored/sensorless esc. i have the programming card for that too... so will try to work out which is the simplest way of doing this! Thanks for your help. :)
Will this motor (Turnigy TrackStar 10.5T Sensored Brushless Motor 3250KV) work in a Traxxas 2wd Slash. And if so which ESC would I need. And anything else you can tell me
Thanks
Sensored motors are designed to be used with sensored ESCs. Performance drops down exponentially when you try to run it without sensors. If a motor has any kind of endbell timing, it will not function without a sensor which means, loss of performance.
sensorless esc`s will work with sensored motors, they`ve been programmed in such a way that they dont need the sensor wire, but you will not get the smoothness of a sensored esc. there is a new addition to the site of a 60a/120a sensored esc, its cheap so you could check that, cant miss the 60a version... its neon green and itching for my drifter lol
Hello
What you guys think about this motor in Jammin SCRT10?
Or should I get something bigger, more or less turns -kvs?
How about Turnigy TrackStar SCT 5.5T Sensored Brushless Motor 3750KV (550 size)
And what ESC? Thanks
I will be putting this motor into my HPI Blitz SCT as well. Reason for this is due to competition regulations require 10.5 T or more motor to compete so if your going to compete then look up the the regulations. In Australia 10.5T for at least 2wd SCT class is the lowest turn # you can use.
Por el precio, te recomiendo que compres un motor nuevo. Que le paso al eje de tu motor??
For the price, I'd recommend to buy a new motor. What happened to the old rotor?
wht will hapen a 2 pole motor is used with a 4 pole motor esc? will it work but not properly? please help quickly before i send my motor of for warranty
Works fine, easy access to adjust the timing from the motor

Installed one of these in my integy 1/10 touring car. Fantastic performing motor! Very impressed with speed and smoothness. Used 100amp track star esc for sensored use and programming card. Also installed black aluminum 36mm heatsink from Hobbyking to keep it cooler. Braking power adjustment cannot be made through programming card, but easy enough through transmitter.
Very high quality appearance and construction! Looks and runs as good as the more expensive counterparts out there.
No problem at all. Well and neatly constucted motor with very good performance. Fast and solid reaction. It just silently do the job with no complaints.
