I bought two of these servos, both are working OK, but they make a noise even if they are in home position with no load - and it's worse in extreme positions. I suspect they would drain too much current (I can't measure this). Anyone had this problem? Thanks.
Digital servo's will 'buzz' even in the neutral position. This is the servo constantly checking the position. The end point noise is probably the servo trying to reach a point outside the travel range.
Is there digital servo programmer that works with these, the GWS one does not. I would like to center the servos without using this function from my TX.
Thanks Hank
Yes,these are fine for a 450. Also would be a better choice than the 939. Digital servos are better position holding and more precise.Good for cyclic, get a quicker one for tail <0.10 sec. I use a tgy 306g, well worth the extra $. Hk922 is also a decent performer.
Haven't tried it,specs are all good and fits straight in. Also choose an esc with 4 amp or higher bec to power the digi servos, and have a little head room. Have fun.
Having problems using 4 of them andd a hxt 9g, the are jitting with a futaba fasst orange. I've tryed the slow red light blinding, tried the disable fail safe option, done that wit the 9g servo and without it and nothing changes. Any sugestions?
These are digital serov's so pull a bit more current,if you use just one servo does it still jitter?,if not then it might be an issue with your power supply to the receiver.
I just received 4 and they are all jittering like crazy. Doesn't seem to be interference. Even happens with one hooked onto a servo tester. I think the dead band is just too small. Is there any solution? If not these are unusable...
Just bought a heap there on the way, I'll let ya know my findings. I like hitec and these are going in the wings of the 70mm edf viper jet if they cope with a good test.
Just ordered 3 for the cyclic on a KDS 450 w flybar. I'm not doing any fancy flying just needed to replace the old rather beat up plastic servos. Will come back with review.
Put a pair on my ultra funjet after a 30min bench test, very impressed with performance, sound and centering super strong too, going to kit my viper jet with these little beasties, happy landings.
Anyone got these in hands? I want something better for 450 heli cyclic as coronas 929mg after 20 flights got about 3mm slop.

I'm very happy with these servos so far. I put them on the swash of a KDS450 (with flybar). I do not have any proper equipment to measure actual speed or strength, but they feel both quick and strong as well as reasonable quiet and jitter free. So from a lamers point of view they feel absolutely great.

Got 5 pcs of it, initial testing is very good performance.
Crisp response, center well, smooth, good resolution.
Top performance for digital metal gear servo @ $8 range.
1 star off, as motor operating at higher temperature at high speed/torque.
Need to see how long these servos could survive for 3D performance.

Forgot to mention, quality of servo horn is the best I had seen for a $8 servo.
Also resolution could be best in $8 class servo I had tried.
Unfortunately it is out of stock from HK.
Definitely will get more when in stock.

Top marks out of the box, perform as expected. Used on a EPP-FPV with top end performance. Only time will answer the longevity question.
