Does this charger require the main /- leads to be connected in order to charge? Or does it only need the balance leads to charge? Why would it have a main connector if it only needed the balance plugs?
Do Noy Ever Buy This Killer!
Killed my 2 lipos! First lipo was a little damaged and after second charge it s dead and i thought it s the fault of damage. But when i tried second fresh one same thing happened after second charge. One cell is dead! Hobbyking must stop selling this killer item of shame!
My test shows that it changes a 3s 35c 2200mAh battery at only 1.2A (so about 2 hours to charge).
I would not recommend this charger for any thing. Better to get the HobbyKing ECO6 50W 5A Balancer/Charger which is good.

I bought 1 of these chargers and it did not work. I tried to charge a 3S 1000mah battery, it would charge it, but LEDs did not go orange when 90pcnt full as stated in manual, and then once battery was charged to 12.6v it stayed in balance mode for 40mins (1hr 45mins after starting charge), after this much time I turned it off. HK then sent me a replacement and the replacement charged 20pcnt faster but had the same faults. Both chargers going in the bin.
