HXT Lipo Monitor 4S. A must have for all lipo users!
HXT Battery Monitor for 4S lipo.
This device plugs into the balance port on your battery. Should any one of your cells fall below 3.3v the light will change from Green to Red, indicating an unbalanced pack and that your battery should not be discharged further.
Discharging your pack to its normal level when you have an unbalanced pack will cause one cells capacity/voltage to drop too low, resulting in a faulty cell which will very quickly reduce the packs performance.
A properly balanced pack can last 600 cycles or more. However, unbalanced packs rarely make it past 100 cycles before at least 1 cell becomes faulty. We strongly urge all customers to balance and discharge packs properly.
With this device, you will know immedietly when your pack is unbalanced and should not be discharged further or balanced.
Yes you can this to monitor 1,2,3,and 4 cell packs, you just need to make sure the the negative on the monitor goes to the negative on the balance plug.
I believe the volts are set too low at 3.3 or 3.0 (per one of the customer tests). Studies have shown lipo battery life is greatly reduced if the battery is discharged more than 80%. In my experience this equates to around 3.7v.
The lipo hard limit is at 2,9v , so stop using at 3.0v and everything will be ok. This lipo monitor is a bang for the buck, lights go red at 3.0v aproximately, very nice.
Yes it's correct 3.00 is the limit of cutoff. All batteries live more if you made partial charge. In fact the life of battery is shown in deep cycle. The real question is how much we damage battery in the remain 20 of charge ?
Best use i have found for this is bench testing and setting the timer on ur remote i put 22oo in my hk-P51 changing the throttle settings like a real flight with 75 WOT i got 18 min b4 the first red light on this little shiner, so i set my timer for 12 min and have 4 min to land and then 2 min emergency hope this helps (ps it is not bright enough for me to use in flight)
Received this during the week. Tested it with my LAB power supply. Each LED lights up green above 3.0 volts and is red below 3.0 volts. The RED changes back to green as soon as he voltage rises so you need to monitor visually while the pack is being discharged.
The 4S version can be used on 3S, 2S and 1S packs as well. Any unused connections simply remain dark.
4 Points as it does not remember the low voltage event

a perfect product for quick checking the voltage of the cells of a lipo. Also to quick check if the lipos voltage brake down at full load. it can handle 2s,3s and 4s lipos.

It's just great! Too cheap and does a good word! Works perfectly with 2S and 3S. I don't really have 4S packs right now. The best choice for you, if you want to fly with balanced lipos!

A great little device for quickly checking LiPo status at an unbeatable price. Cannot only check 4s, but 3s and 2s as well. Would recommend!
