I have an FPV setup and my 72Mhz Hitec Fusion9 reciever has a built in failsafe. It is programmed to activate my Return-to-Home switch so the plane will fly its way home. My problem is that the Fusion only applies a signal to the servos & ESC for 15 seconds, then the servos just "go soft" and no further signal is applied. However the ESC detects this loss of signal and shuts down the motor. I was hoping I could use this to keep the ESC happy, and the motor running at about 50% throttle.
Will this keep a signal going to the ESC?

on items like this, is there a way to program the fail safe, IE when radio losses contact, to put it in a frozen flight path like slight right rudder with neg aileron right side, (slight) so it will do a large spiral while dumping altitude?
 ADUC.HeliME 183 points
Yes you can achive a frozen flight path, but you will need 2 x FS-1s. I just replicated what you desire on my plane while on the floor. The FS-1 is a pass though device so when the signal is lost it puts your servos in a position that set. You set it by adjusting a small dial with a very small flat head screw driver (it is the hole on the bottom left of the unit in the product photo). For your rudder you simply put the FS-1 between your receiver and your rudder dial in how much deflection you wa

Which from the Fail Safe GSW FS-1 do co-operate with the transmitter Turnigy TX9? Is the compatible with the TX9?
 Olafur 7 points
I think this failsave operate with any transmiters cause you plug the failsave between servo and receivers

Does it work with this product Turnigy 9x control?
 Waltudes 14 points
this fail-safe can be used em any type of tx/rx, the fail-safe do a bridge between the receiver and servo, and don't mind of what is the tx/rx.

This fail-safe unit is connected between receiver and servo, when you lost signal - the servo will automatically jump into position you have chosen on this fail-safe unit. :-)

Looks like the fight was removed from 'discussion'. I wonder what it was over. Anyway, does anyone know if this thing works DSM ($pektrum) receivers?

I don't think you understand what the word "Truly" means.. but you have probably continued to amuse others with your obvious embarrassment..

What???

Why did the chicken cross the road?
 CARL 290 points
Hello Alvaro, this Device is used to protect your model car/plane/boat in case of low battery or lose of radio signal it will send the channel you have it plugged into to the position you have programmed into it.For example,if you plug it into the throttle channel in your car then the throttle servo into this FailSafe and program it to low throttle/brake then if your car battery goes below 4 volts or radio signal is not good or lost then this device Automatically Shuts the throttle down in you car preventing it from high speed run-away/crash,hope this helps you? Thanks.

This is realy a good investment! That day you loose contact with your plane, - this fail safe can shout down the trottle and the plane will come down.. In our family we allways use this on plane from 2 meters an up in wingspan.. This is a must if you have responible for your surrondings and your next and neighbour!
And the price is very good! Half price here on Hobbycity for a excellent product!
I realy recomended this product and thanks again til Hobbycity for an excelent service and greate products!
Best regards
