Very powerful motor, but actually not suited for usage without good cooling. The motor gets hotter and hotter with and without load. I'm using it with a silicone cooling jacket in my micro outrigger. After 5 minutes of driving at about 30km/h it's just handwarm. Setup is a small 750mah 3s Kokam Lipo, and a Turnigy plush 12A ESC. So a good and powerful motor for usage in boats.

powerful motor, works good with CC ThunderBird-18. I tried TowerPro MAG8 ESC -the motor gets too hot to touch even even if turned off. It seems TP ESC only usable with outrunners.
These get so hot! Did want it for a pusher prop but without being prop cooled will have to make other plans.

Used this on my mini slinger too and burned out 2 of them within the first flight each. I bought 1 third one and this time used a 7.4v 2s 1300mah battery instead of a 11.1v 1000mah battery and it works perfect! It doens't get hot and more importantly it doesn't burn out! BTW I am using a 4.75 x 4.75 prop on the mini slinger. This setup is FAST and I don't think you can have a more perfect setup with this mini slinger plane.
