Hi, Just wondering if anyone knows the servo timings (ie pulse and Hz) for use with the HobbyKing GA-250 MINI-MEMS Gyro. Thanks in advance!
 Colt1873 166 points
It is listed as a standard pulse width with a max update of 333HZ or 3 ms.
 Branimir 7 points
Ino-Lab HG-D201HB 0.07s 1.00kg 1520pulse / 333Hz

Cheers, thanks you for the info, much appreciated!

Desperately looking for a set of replacement gears - where can I get some ?? thanx
 Colt1873 166 points
Same here. At the price of this servo not having gears makes it a less desireable item. I have been searching the internet with no luck so far
lloydcole  265 points - 1/5/2011

this is 6v right? its the alloy = al version
*******inolabservo****/Products/Nano/HG-D

 Horacio 59 points
Yes, it's 6V capable and has an alloy heatsink (the mid section of the case is metal).
lloydcole  265 points - 1/2/2011

has this got a enough torque for a 450 pro?
id buy the adaptor if it has got enough torque

also will it work with align gp780 gyro?

thanks for the help hope to speak soon
 Colt1873 166 points
It will work, but if you are heavy into 3D, it is a little light on its output torque. You might want a servo with a little more torque
 dhruvafreak 530 points
Good choice for 450 pro but i think more power is needed for pro , pro needs big www.link awesome for 450 pro AND it should work with gp780 gyro
Align38  17 points - 4/17/2010

Does this servo is compatible with a T-rex 250 as the tail one?
 rossco34 199 points
Yes it is, This servo is awesome as a tail servo for any 250-450 heli.

.07 is very fast....be sure to set your gyro to 'DS' mode to get the best out of this servo.

HTH :)
 Vasilis 35 points
No,id say it is not,it has less torque even from align 420,if you want a top performance tail try the ino lab 261HB,0.06 at 6v and 2.4kg of torque! 20g only! best you can get, worths the extra penies
Prashant  11 points - 10/8/2009

Is this the same servo as LogicTech 3100G?
 Colt1873 166 points
The timing pulse of this servo is 1520 microsec. The 3100G timing pulse is 960 microsec. Ergo it is not the same servo.

Can anyone definitively tell me if these will fit or work on a Blade 400?
Will they fit in the small space that existing 2 Eflite servo's go into the space behind the main shaft? Or can someone tell me what servo's HC sell that will fit?
Brunogagnon  16 points -

No it does not get hot. Warm... I woyld also say no. But I just hoover. Newbe... *)
robl45  24 points -

right, trying to figure out how to run it on a gy401
 Nikx012 77 points
It will run perfectly on a gy401 with ds switch on
 .:d3x:. 120 points
what about HK401b ? Same position ?
 rossco34 199 points
Yes, this is a proper digital servo.

Set your Gyro to 'DS' mode.
Brunogagnon  16 points -

on the logictech I have been running it in DS mode for months.
 tdriver 27 points
does it get warm or even hot?
 dhruvafreak 530 points
mine never gets warm or hot but some guys reports that it get hot only when hardcore 3d
tdriver  27 points -

somebody in the review section find the specs from the manufacture.

not DS compatible with 401 gyro.
not to use on 6 volts.

so if it's not DS compatible,
i would choose normal mode on the 2100 logictech gyro as well.
 robl45 24 points
isn't DS digital servo mode? So it can only be run as an analog servo?
 fabio2638 47 points
I use in trex450 with gy401 in ds mode, not so warm... But I'v add a diode to do step down voltage. I get 6v-0.8=5.2V with align esc bec=6v. 10 flight and no problem for now.
 Nikx012 77 points
DONT RUN AT 6v.IT is compatible with DS switch on GY401.Very qiuck servo
robl45  24 points -

2 times people have asked if it will work with ds mode on gy401 gyro, please answer
 Nikx012 77 points
YEs it is.I have been useing it for 50+ flights, very crisp and quick servo
 .:d3x:. 120 points
what about hk401b ? digital on ?
Brunogagnon  16 points -

OK I just answer myself. I just ordered a set of metal gears for the Log...c 3100. Which is the same.

HTH

Thank you
Brunogagnon  16 points -

where can I find a replacement gears kit for it?

Thank you,

Bruno
robl45  24 points -

yes, I have same question, will it work with DS mode on gy401?
Jonathan  12 points -

It is compatible with DS mode of GY401 Gyro?
 Nikx012 77 points
YES i have been useing it with DS switch for over 50 flights with no problems.Very fast servo
Jonathan  12 points -

Ca i use it with 6v?
 ppxav 1214 points
no way,it'll burn at more than 4,8v ,use a stepdown regulator if use bec delivering 5,1v (i burned 1 myself, with freshly charged battery, meaning 5,1v is too high!)
 terencechan 154 points
Would like to add that most external BECs are rated 5v, but they are really 5.2V. Phoenix ESC series built-in BEC is exactly 5.0V so I have no problem when using such micro servos with it.
 R33vit 23 points
Have a look at the INO-LAB website It will do 6 volts and does work with the GY401 gyro

I give 5 stars to this awesome litle digital servo. The movement is very fast and smooth. Very precise and accurate holds my mini titan tail like a rock. Highly recomented for 450 class helis. I get two and i am waitting another one for my next heli.

11 thumbs up!
Nice fast servo with smooth response and tight gearbox/little play.
I checked with manufacturer and this is NOT compatable with the Futaba DS mode (e.g. from 401 gyro) and is NOT recommended for 3D flight - because it can overheat. Hence 4 stars. Mike

5 thumbs up!
I tried this servo with a GY401 on a TREX 450 and it did not last more than 10 flights.
However it was really precise.

This is really great digital servo. I use it with logictech 2100T gyro on my Maxir SE micro heli. Works great and holds tail in 3D flight.
