I use this battery in the 1/16 truck and it works great. I'm not sure the 40C one would fit would it? The only difference you MIGHT notice is a little more punch, but most folks wouldn't notice that.
depends really. If i were using it for gusty high amp use then id go with turnigy. If its for normal to easy use then go with the zippy. Both are great batteries but i find the turnigy are slightly more robust and hold a longer lifespan under rugged use. Hope this helps!
ive had these batteries about a year.(2 of them) and they are still running great! love em. i use them in my revo vxl and it will do standing backflips on demand! haha i can get ~40min of fun on them when i run them in parallel.
Ok thanks. Normally I buy Turnigy but need bunch of lipos so thinking of getting Zippos because they're bit cheaper. I have some small Zippies for planes and they're ok so hope the 2.2 are just as good.
One thing I've noticed that when these 2.2A Zippies get discharged the cells are quiet unbalanced. My Turnigies don't do that. How ever so far I got 20 cycles on the Zippies and they work just fine regardless.
No HK don't solder plugs.
but they are selling all cind of adapters to fit xt60 conector and almoust any conector u have on esc.
Id mybe u have traxxas conector u should buy www.link buy xt60 male conector
I belive xt60 connector are the best u can buy
I'll leave the plugs on the car and change the ones on the battery, in Which case what plugs should I be looking for and how hard are they to solder on??

JR
I do on all of my RC car's , solder gold connector's easy to solder *)then you put the plastic hosing around it and there secure and save from short circuit ,
Regards,
Tim.
Thanks for the info, just wonder how hard it would be to solder plugs on batteries, is there a connector, such as a Traxxas Female Plug to Male Deans Plug Adaptor??
JR
It's not harder as solder on ESC or other cables. Just needs more accurancy to prevent short circuit during soldering. And of course you could use adaptors to change connector type. Battery itself already have The XT60 connector.
if u have traxxas plug on esc, and u don't want to solder enything you shoud buy www.link u buy one male xt60 conector and solder it on esc it's realy not to hard. and the xt60 conectors are realy nice to use and good materials
I am using the deans connectors on my batteries and HK sells a great version of them; located at www.link
If you don't want to change your battery leads you can can also buy or make an adapter. Soldering is simple and straight forward.
Do these batteries fit a traxxas mini e-revo brushless and if so what about the connectors, must they be changed to be compatible with Traxxas plugs??
jr
They fit great, I bought 4 of them for my mini revo. The plugs need to match your rig. If it's a stock Traxxass then you'll either have to switch the plug on you batteries or on your revo. . They have a great soldering iron here. www.link cheap and easy to learn.
yup they fit perfectly in the erevo battery compartment, you just have to cut a small portion of the battery cover for the cable. hobbyking has a adapter for traxxas connector. but mine i cut off the connector and soldered with a traxxas connector.
The batterias work great. 3s lipo ia absolutly too much I tested :) and vith one of those 2s the run time should be about 40min.
I bought male xt60 conector and solder it on esc, because I'm gona always use this batteries.
Or u can buy this an put on esc traxxas www.link should work perfect vith no soldering
Can anyone tell me the best tip for charge one or two battery´s at the same time(with adaptor board XH iMax B6) with an imax b6??? 0,3amp?0.5? i havent charged them yet...Thanks
You will need 2 things. A connector to connect both batteries in series to give you a 4s pack & something to make a 4s connector from your 2s charge sockets (JST), then you could connect it to your B6 as a 4s, 2200maH pack.
You can buy what is called a paraboard. It will allow you to hook both batteries to your charger and charge them as a 4400 nah battery. I have one that I got on HK for about $20
you have several options the best is to buy a traxxas battery conector, cut out the connector that the bat came cith and solder the traxas conector, or if you can`t then you do that there is the chance to put a XT60 conector on your REVO or you just simply buy a XT60 to traxxas convertor. I hope that info helps you :) I actualy use thos with a DEANS "T" conector with a "T" tp traxxas conversor because all my bats have a "T" type conector.
The only thing you would need to do is get a traxxas plug to solder, that and possibly cut your battery door a bit to let the wires have some room to play.
This battery fits just fine in the Mini Revo VXL. The only modification that you'll have to make is to cut the end of the battery door so that the wires have a place to exit. I'm completely satisfied with this battery.
Personally, i would just buy some Traxxas connectors and change them for the ones that come stock on these batteries. Easy enough to do even with a limited skill in soldering. Remember when cutting the ends off the battery cable, cut them INDIVDUALLY and not together. Bad stuff can happen if you cut them at the same time. Oh and check out youtube for step by step instructions on how to solder a traxxas connector. it's Childs play. Goodluck
The mini revo has TRX/traxxas connectors, these zippys have XT60 connectors (3mm gold plugs in casing) Id recommend changing the revo to use these instead. I havent seen a converter that goes from XT60 to TRX. so you will probably have to solder one yourself. Therefor its easyer to change the connector on your esc instead *-)
You would have to trim the battery door a little bit to be able to close it. Get the Female Traxxas <-> Male XT60 if you don't have soldering iron, but replacing the xt60 plug by a female traxxas plug would be more efficient.
Is it normal that the battery swells a bit. I ran a test with this battery on a 35 size motor at 350 mA for only a few minutes and battery started to swell. The plastic film cover is inflated a bit. Temp on battery was only around 35 degree C (lukewarm) Thankful for a reply
buy smaller lipo. i had a problem with these on MERV and i decided to stop trying to buy "almost fit lipo" for safe fit lipo with prof to fit without modifications!
If you solder on a traxxas style plug then you will charge through the traxxas style plug. The balancing plug is to make sure the cells are balanced as yu charge through the main lead.
Almost a perfect fit for my 1/16 Revo. Slight mod on the battery is all that is needed to make it fit. Excellent power! Will definately be buy more these Lipo batteries.

13 thumbs up!
I use this in my drift car during races. Very light weight and high output current. Useful capacity before cut off is 1800mAh which is great. Charger shows from 6V to 8.4V around 2250mAh on all of my three batteries. I can only recomend.
