Software monitors battery voltage, charge current etc. You can see all data in tabular format or as graphs, store the data for comparison with other batteries. But it cannot control the charger in any way - there is simply no RX line on the device. And it will definitely work on Vista ( actually software is free and available at ****logview.info. Some people also make such kits with their bare hands - it is a simple TTL serial to USB converter actually)

Found out on the iMax B6 you can only the temp sensor or the Charger monitor not both, but if you have an iMax B8 you can use both as it has 2 usb ports!

On the iMax B6 it plugs in the same spot as the temp sensor so you can not monitor temp while charging or discharging. The iMax B8 has two ports so you can still monitor the temp. Work fine with XP SP3.

It's a USB adapter that plugs into your computer and attaches to your IMAX charger (temp sensor or USB port). The software is loaded on your computer and when you charge or discharge your batteries it graphs the data (current, Amps, Volts - temp is also recorded if your charge has 2 usb ports like the B8 - the B6 only has the one so temp is not recorded) which you can save to a log file. Create a directory for each battery and then the log file name can be the date you performed a charge/dishcharge. You can then compare these log if you suspect your battery looses capacity - dosen't fully charge.

it CAN work, but it depends on how old is your accucel:
1) older: you need to check if pin order is correct
2) newer: you have to do a little work on PCB:

Howdy,
It works!

I just did the modification mentioned in the forum.(added the little wire inside)
BUT, the Imax adapter is wired differently to the adapter mentioned, so don't modify your plug, it fits straight in and is correct!
I modified my plug and could not get it to work, out of pure frustration after trying to change the drivers etc I just turned the plug back to original and Whoa! it worked.
The plug goes in with the black wire nearest to the power plug the red in the middle and the white wire at the bottom, NOT from the power plug: white-red-black as mentioned in the forum.
Hope this saves someone some frustration.

BTW If you use your PC/Laptop to program your HK 6 channel transmitter you do not have to install a driver, the one installed for the adpater for your transmitter also works with this Imax adapter, just plug in and go.(Just thought I would mention this).
