Seems stupid to make all these batteries with XT60 FEMALE connectors when all the planes have MALE EC3s (that need the batteries to be FEMALE EC3)... Will this fit WITHOUT an adapter?

What is the difference between a 3s and a 3s1p
 dhruv 103 points
3s means that the 3cells is connected in series and the 3s1p means 2cells are connected in series and 1 is connected in parallel.Hope this helps!

 Jeff 6 points
Thanks for the reply it does help but I need to understand what the benefit of the 3s1p is. Are they both ok to use in an 11.4volt set-up?
 dhruv 103 points
Yeah ,both are equally good and ok to use in a 11.4V setup.Well, what's with the new "This customer was voted to have the best answer."?They don't give credits anymore?
 pastoreli 231 points
Stop the world I wanna get off! 3S1P and 3S are the same thing. They are just 3 cells in parallel.

When are HK going to start stocking LIPO in AUS whearhouse i ordered a plane and had it delivered three weeks ago but am still waiting on the ESC and LIPO to run it due to not stocked in AUS I could have saved some money if i had ordered it all from HK
 totovz 230 points
Best you all order from HK, and is also cheaper.
They still have the largest stock.
My orders arrive within 2 weeks, and we just do one now traveled 3.5 weeks.

Hello,

is the weight of 199g correct?

Bye
 GerhardSA 8 points
200g on my scale with bubbel wrap and foam on power connector
 totovz 230 points
199 grams is true, if you need a capacity similar to this that the battery is lighter take zippy 2000mAh.
Lighter by 20 grams and the same is very good.
Rhino is a bit more weight because it has a protective plastic strip.
 ckller 35 points
Hi, I have 4 of these and the weight is exactly between 195 and 197. I did not change the lenght of the wire, I only replaced the plug for a T dean plug. Hope it helps
 LarsenHK 25 points
Yes. I've got 3 and the weight 'ready to fly' for each of them is exactly between 197.5g and 198g (measured on a high scale)
 Velocyraptor 8 points
Yes. I have two of them and both weight 200g. Bye

Hi! I have this Rhino 2250mah 3S1P 30C LiPO Pack. I put it on the weighing scale and the result is 185gms.
justforfun  84 points - 2/25/2011

can you please start shipping with your genuine tgy xt60 connectors, not the knock offs, as they are a lot harder to connect and disconnect
 Kris... 279 points
What wrong with the knock off ones ?
 justforfun 84 points
they seem harder to disconnect, which can damage airframes or batterys if there smaller
Justin  16 points - 7/14/2009

I just got 3 of these batteries in the mail today, and I noticed that they now come with the E-flite EC3 connectors installed instead of standard Deans connectors. Since all of the 30C 2250mAh Rhino batteries I have ordered from HobbyCity before came with the Deans connectors installed, this will mean that I now need to cut off all of the EC3 connectors from the new batteries and solder on Deans connectors if I want to be able to use them with any of my ESCs.
 __VIZ 76 points
Might be easier and cheaper to just make an adapter from Deans to E-flite EC3
 GerhardSA 8 points
Seems so. all the batteries that i've order so far i also had to replace the connectors.

26 thumbs up!
I ordered 2 of these but one was unusable with a puffed cell.In my opinion the 25c rhino's appear to perform just as well as these in my trex45se v2.

These are great batteries. They work well in my Trex 450. I get regularly 2000mAh out of them. Only problem is one pack I ordered had a flaw on one end, and HobbyCity doesn't really offer any sort of warranty, but the rest of my packs have been good.
