The plugs were of a different tint than my other EC3 plugs. The wires are nice and soft and the plugs fit nice and firm, so original or not it doesn't seem to affect performance.
Measured the wires to be 10.3cm. The entire item, plugs included, was 13.5cm and weighs in at 8.59g. You may be able to buy wire and plugs separatly here at HK and make them cheaper in bulk yourself, but if you only need one extension lead this is not only good value, but also much less hassle.

The Hobby City EC3 connector copies are inferior. First, the contacts actually stick out beyond the plastic housing. Really dumb! I just sparked a batttery pack today. The genuine EC3 connectors are recessed about 1/32" so no accidental sparking. Second, the copies take twice the force to connect and disconnect because the surface finish is rougher. Third, the copies female plastic housing is too small to connect to a genuine EC3 male plastic h
