régulation 5.5V
Very compact and light weight battery for a 2100 2s3p.
Will fit in almost any size model, half the weight of other 2100 7.4 Lypos I'm using now.
Will be ordering more for some of my larger gassers and possibly for some of my turbine jets as soon as I do more testing on there performance.
Hope they come out with a 4000ma 7.4 like Horizon hobbies,
Gauge:16AWGNumber of Cells:4 (2 Series, 2 Parrallel)Weight:6 oz (170 g)Length:2.5 in (64mm)Width:1.9 in (49mm)Height:1.0 in (26mm)Maximum Continuous Discharge :12C
Been very satisfied with everything I've gotten so far.
Will let you know how the 21002s3p batteries work out.
Hey guys. Im considering using a second RX battery in my large scale gas planes and was wondering if any one knows where to get a dual battery switch? I know they make them. Or if anyone knows a better way to do this.i recently lost my all time favorite plane due to a failing RX battery, and with all of the $$$$$$$$$$$$$ that I invest in these models I would like a backup plan if ya know what I mean.thanks in advance.
I think the easiest way to do this is mounting the 2 RX batteries in parallel. You maintain the voltage and adds ampers, so if one battery stops working, the other would provide the power.
Buena bateria, la uso en un barco que es perfecto todo el dia navegando y muy poco peso, buena descarga para el serv de velas, en general muy buena compra lo aconsejo.
must be very close in dimensions to a 4x aa pack i think the wires may just make it to tight a fit for my needs but yeah would last a while im using a lipo in my tx has made a huge difference in recharges cheers and thx
yeah im using this in place of my rx pack, i have two of these run in parallel and getting 4200mah in place of a 3000mah nicad pack. charge them up once and can fly for a full day. Plus they are very light weight compared to nicad batts!! I'm usuing them in a 68" EDGE 540, great weight saver for a 3D plane!
can i use this directly on my HPI savage ss receiver? or do i need a regulator, can anyone tell me what is a regulator? i only read it while searching.. thanks!
It depends. If your reciver can handle 3s.And if your having HV (high voltage) servos.
I strongly belive that your having normal voltage servos in your truck. So you need to buy a regulator also (UBEC) I suggest thease 2
TURNIGY 3A UBEC w/ Noise Reduction or
HXT UBEC 5/6v output, 5.5~23v Input
I guess it is a 2.4GHz, 2Ch reciever. So you cannot use this battery in it because your Rx accepts only upto 6V. And this battery will supply 7.1V-7.4V. So that will burn up your Rx.
Es la bateria idonea para un avion glow o gasolina que quieras pasarlo a lipo y olvidarte del niquel-cadmio o del NiMH, ocupa poquito espacio y encima da un buen amperage.
I have 1/8 scale truggy and this lipo fits in its receiver box, so I would say it fits in baja 5B's box.I installed my regulator right beside the receiver box and sealed it.
You could fish out some kind of mesuring equipment and see how big the reciver box is. And use the description wich is 6.2 cm long,2.8 cm wide and 3.5 cm high.
I have a Baja 5B, it fits perfect.
You will need a Limiter/BEC that can handle 10A.
Oh, you will need a longer wire for the balancer and a Y-wire for charging and RX.
Yes, if the equipment is not rated to that voltage, but an increasing number of RX and sero's are HV rated, you just need to match carefully, or use a UBEC/regulator.
that could yes... depending on what your receiver and servos are rated at... Its always best to use a BEC with any receiver and servos, just to be on the save side. they are not expencive (around $5)
Yes it is, every $pektrum receiver is 9.5V-capable, thats not depending on the Transmitter. But watch out, not every Servo is working with more than 6.0V!!!
YES YOU CAN USE THIS BATTERY WITH ANY RECEIVER BUT YOU HAVE TO USE A VOLTAGE REGULATOR SO THAT ONLY 6VOLTS OR LESS IS APPLIED TO YOUR RECEIVER AND SERVOS.
Si questa batteria viene utilizzata per alimentare qualsiasi tipo di riceventi: auto, aerei, barche* l'unica cosa devi aquistare un UBEC da connettere in serie alla batteria per poi attaccarti alla TX.Spero di averti aiutato.
Ok please explain what the three plugs are for ..One with three wires is obviously the balance lead are the other two output leads just with different plugs as the turnigy 15a ubec i recieved at the same time has a red jst input plug. I'm guessing the black one is for direct rx connection the white with two wires has me stumped
1 x 3 wire balance plug. Charge as you would with a normal 2S pack. 1 x 2 wire Futaba plug. Use to connect your your receiver. 1 x 2 wire Micro JST. For small Rx's.
Can anyone explain how these batteries truely balance? Because technicaly they are a 6s wired to be 2s, so 2x3s how do the 2 lots of 3s become balanced when charged?? I'm normaly not too bad with electrial jargin, but this one baffles me?
2s2p means 2 serial + 2 parallel cells, so you get a 7,4v pack 2100mAh. The real thing is that the cells in single configuration are 1050mAh, but connected in parallel dobles the capacity. check here *******scriptasylum****/rc_speed/_lipo.html
Thanks for the reply Alvaro :) I understand that bit but, the bit that confuses me is how do the parallel cells balance when they all use the same balance wires? Is it because of being wired parallel that the cells automatically balance each other? Meaning if I get two seperate cells, one having 3.7v and the other having 4.17v and wire them parallel and leave them for an hour or so will they balance each other????
Exactly, when they are in parallel connected, they should balance at the same time. It's the same when you connect 2 3slipo packs into a 6s charger in series, the cells should balance equally. Watching the pictture above I guess this pack can be charged both 2s or 3s depending wich connector you use. Anyway, I've never seen this configuration with both connectors,in fact, I would never build it.
I have a similar situation - the $pektrum receivers can easily handle 7.4V but I'm not sure how long a 6V servo will last on 7.4V. HobbyKing has suitable UBEC's like www.link www.link
justme441... most if not all servo's are not happy with >6V. $pektrum RX dont mind. If there were any servos that could handle 7,4 V, I would not need an UBEC or the like.
use frs 5A failover switch to regulate to 6v. This is recommended for 2.4 Ghz systems to prevent low voltage brownout under high servo load. You need to check spec of servos to see if they can handle 6v

22 thumbs up!
Recived 6 ea. average weight 96gms. 1 will not ballance, 4.02 is the best I can get on one cell. I got them for there size to fit in training ELT's that we are modifing to go rechargeable. 2100 mah will last for a 24Hr EX. RX plug was not used. 6C is no item as the TX only use 70ma.
They arrived completely out of balance, but turned out good after a balance charge. Overall, I would buy this again. Weight: 3.5oz Dim: 6cm x 3.5cm x 2.5cm

12 thumbs up!
I ordered three receiver packs and all arrived in good condition ,checked cells and voltage and all were perfect .The weight was actually 94 grams each which is lighter than I expected but a plus in any case.Voltage is 7.7 volts which will work out fine for the spectrum receivers which work with voltages from 3.5v up to 9.6v.Thanks HC.They come with three leads ,one for balancing, the second for the receiver slot and the third I am not sure I think it is for charging? Is there anyone out there that would know thanks.
I used it to feed my small brushed trainer plane, motor included. Capacity: 2100mAh * 6C = 12,6 A Max Current. Brushed Max Current = 9.5 A Installed also Turnigy 30A BRUSHED ESC Cubic shape fits perfectly ! Bye bye NiMH...
