Is a nylon bolt 6-40mm the same as 1/4x20 inch wing bolt?? Is it 40 mm long?

yes, diameter 6mm and 40mm long

No 1/4 is 6.35mm Dia and could strip and not hold

I ordered 3 of them(dot from the same pach) and used 2 bolts to attach landing gear to a 2,2kg plane, now I have broken them all and all of them had an air bubble just below the head, in the center of the bolt. I don't know if that was the reason of failure in pretty smooth landing, but it was quite cold too(-5 deg)

Not bad for the price, I am still to give them a full stress test but they are holding strong as wing blots!

Plastic is strong enough, but badly molded: the screws are not circular, more like an ellipse. Can not be trusted for wings or LG. OK for less demanding applications.
