Awesome product! Got this in today and ran a pack through my losi 8T e Converted! The power was insane and the run time was around 40 Minutes! I couldnt run over half throttle without the front end coming up. Superb batteries. Slightly tight in the Losi battery tray tho.

Why does an order from HK USA warehouse, with item in stock, take three days to process, when payment was processed almost a week ago ?
 nlmbc 567 points
Other orders in front of yours. People pack the orders in order they are printed out. Also the packers could be on a long lunch break.

ZIPPY Flightmax 5000mAh 6S1P 30C will work this two of them in my Trex 700 e?
 Dallas186 35 points
Hi, I run one single in my 600esp ang get 5mins of hard 3D although they do come down warm and measure about 14% remaining so i run them pretty hard. also run 2 in my 700e and again 5mins of hard 3D and they come down cold and on average 20 - 23% remaining. i have 4 and have lasted fine all this year and still using them in excess of 50 cycles each. a nice battery, cheap but nothing like as punchy as optipower but then optis run at £*100 a piece!

What will be flight time on this batteries for T-rex 600 ESP 6S steup?
 gman4reel 134 points
To maintain optimal battery life I have set my timer to 5.10 minutes. No more or your battery may start to puff.
 Sandro 10 points
5-6min flight time will give you long life with theses batteries. I have 5 of them now and in the second season of utilization.

whats the wire gauge? anyone know? Im thinking doing some rework on the leads to make them work with 5.5mm Bullet gold connectors. Not the bullet type.. Or do I need the 6mm connectors? I have a castle Creation ICE2 120HV that has a 8awg battery wire. So will that work with the 5.5mm connectors and then Ill change out these battery connectors with the 5.5mm ones.

these are rock solid batts. Use then with a G60 , 80 amp, with a 14/8 triple Air Screw and a 15/7 APC in a 46 size UCANDO 3D by Great Planes. Give me 13 -14 minutes and come down just warm never hot
 Bastian 17 points
I use these batteries with an Align T-Rex 600 ESP with stock motor and ESC setup. After 7 minutes of flying (including several loops and turns) and 3000-4000mAh used the batteries are just warm. I own 3 packs with approx. 30-40 flights on each pack. 2 packs balance just fine. However, 1 pack is out of balance after only a few weeks of non-usage. 2 cells of the pack lose their charge quickly and it takes hours to balance (with 300mA balancing current). I still fly this pack. However, the balanci

I just got this battery and it is not written how many C for charging. I hope it is at least 2C. Does anybody know?

up to 5 amp charge is fine, I charge mine at 5amp ,I love these batterys , there long run times and come down cool on my trex550
 chape00 31 points
I have two of this batteries and I charge it at 10A without problems.
 quadslo 21 points
Can you charge it with more than 10A ?
 chape00 31 points
Max charge rate 2C = 10A. Is the maximum.
 joseph 11 points
2c. or 10 amps is ok to charge that 6s 5000 mah flightmax pack
 RCMADPILOT 5 points
Has been a very good battery.
 Adam939 12 points
You can upload 2C = 10A but charging such a high current battery will quickly consume. If you need current 100A, buy the 150A battery and charge up to 1C = 5A and preferably 0.5-0.6 C = 2.5-3A. I do so and the battery lasts for 400 cycles!

Someone use it in trex 550 ? I don't know if this batterie fit under the canopy.

i have hk600gt with the red motor and i can tell you that every battery i use is not enought and drop volts of the battery very fast.Motors like that consum more than normal elecricity even trex 600 is a battery killer.Thats why now has 12 s setup. The highest amp my heli needed was 130 when my trex 700 12 s needs 115 peak. So the conclution.Batteries that behaves bad on 600 gt is perfect with a good set up. I ordered 2 for my trex 700 .I wait for them and i hope that i am rigth.
mdrazic  44 points - 1/4/2011

I got battery perfectly balanced but after only 3 break in flight with my HK-600GT in hover with 30A discharge 1st cell drops voltage very soon. My first purchase of this battery didn't start good. I am very mad because of that. I will use it just for normal flight without 3D. Turnigy is much better option.
 Morgan 5 points
May have just been a bad lipo, I have been using these for a while, I have 8 of them and none ever a problem. The 40C's are now in the US and I will be trying these out with the AVANT AURORA 90E
 ASturm 13 points
Zippy has a better stability in cells compared with Turnigy.I fly only Zippy or Rhino. 3700mAh 30C.
 PaulGT3 20 points
Turnigys are dang good batteries. I like them over my zippies
 Jean Misrany 109 points
 Carlo 21 points
just a bad cell. i have zippys and they worked just fine on my trex 550.
 john 5 points
I have had a brand new one of these with a cell that would not charge so had to bin it without a flight. But do not forget that these batteries are absolute bargins for the use you get from them they are practicly half price of any other retailer
 maderdog_1024 21 points
Sounds like a bad cell, i have bought 30 batteries at least and only had one bad one. So dont be deterred.
 ultra7 5 points
I have these before and I am only buy Turnigy Nano Lipo pack. They are the best.
 adrian 1 points
likely raising the single cell you have to connect where swing and give a heavy load to that one until you lift a little and then all you have to lift balancealas

Meruya  1 points - 12/30/2010

For Trex 700, it uses 2 lipo in series. What is the expected life cycle of these lipo's.
 Stefan 2 points
You should expect at least 100 flights before they start to get soft... I fly these on a trex 550e 3g and 3 guys I fly with have trex 700e they all say they are the best bang for your buck! they don`t get hot like other packs do...

Stefan
 Morgan 5 points
We have been getting around 100 cycles or more, just try to keep the drain to about 20 of their capacity(use 80 of the battery). I also use these in the Trex 550, and the Avant 90E. Great batt's
 Atanacio 5 points
It all depends how well u treat them, how hard u fly, but in my experience, because of the 12s setup, seems that they come down cooler then my 550e on 6s setup, the amp pull is split between both lipos, hence the easier load on the lipos
 nogahyde 75 points
As long as you don't go under voltage on these batteries and keep them balanced, you should get around 200-500 cycles. Again, depends on how you take care of them.
 CarrotCake 98 points
Anybody know what's the # gauge/awg this battery comes with? Thanks
 Carlo 21 points
150 to 550. depending how you treat them. treat them good and they will be good.
 suomynon 3 points

I want to plug 2 lipos in serial to a 10 cell lipo. This 6 cell lipo and a 4 cell lipo PRODUCT ID: Z50004S-30. Can someone tell me if the cells are the same because they have a little bit different dimensions? Thanks for answer!
 Morgan 5 points
When plugging in two batteries in series(especially lipos)they need to be the same cell count, like 6S 6S, 3S 3S and so on. Because you can't control which battery will see the most drain, the power just flows out. So, the 4S will be over taxed and die on you very fast.
 mobbings 44 points
Hi Morgan, that's not true what you write. The cells in the Lipos're already connected in series. And 4 cells of the same type can be combined with 6 cells of the same type to a 10 cells.

be careful how you do this.
 adrian 1 points
would have the same voltage if you can connect
 maderdog_1024 21 points
look at using two 5s lipos, resistance and impedance becomes a problem with packs of different capacities connected together. you would need to join the cells together on the pack to make it a 10s safely and i dont fancy doing that!

Could someone tell if Flightmax 30C better, equivalent or worse than Turnigy 30C? Thanks!
 infinium 90 points
I would say it's equivalent to Turnigy 30C. Don't think it could be worse than Turnigy.
 tomapowa 225 points
I also got plenty of both... orogonally they were about the same performance. Last month tohugh I noticed a few of my 2yr old 30C Zippy packs have puffed.... hm... but my Turnigys have been fine... go figure.
 tomapowa 225 points
hm.... most of my Zippy 6s 30C packs have puffed after around 75 cycles or so... (1.5 yrs of NE flying)... expected a little more out of them actually... and I don't beat on them either... oh well.
 jonathan 6 points
the zippy flightmax is better than the turnigy beacause they have more power due as a good internal resistance
 Eric 6 points
I have had both and they are pretty much the same. Some may say that Turnigy is a little better but I have not seen any differences.
ccarrillo98  10 points - 9/12/2009

Got this one about 4 months ago and have not been able to really try out yet. Cells are all over the place with voltage . been trying to get it to point where the pack will get a full charge. Frustrating! Still have high hopes.

Ballance them, then charge them and all should be good.

Hello, it is written 2C charge on the website, but on the lipo is written not above 1C... so what 1C or 2C possible ?
Please can someone gives a response?
Many thanks Ric
 jamesppp 15 points
I have charged my 2, Zippy 6S 5000mah packs at 2C from the first charge. I have about 35 cycles on each now and the IR is 2.4-3.0Mohm per cell on both packs and they balance pefrectly at 4.204v per cell. These packs are a bargain...Im using them in an Outrage 550 and Logo 5003D
 jonathan 6 points
if in your battery is written 1c charge it in 1c

 motogman 165 points
5 Amps
 Peterm 188 points
Actually 2C or 10 amps according to the Product Config Table above!
 jonathan 6 points
the safe charging is in 1c/5a
 Valkman 16 points
Depends on the battery but 1c or 5amps is a safe bet.

They are 4mm gold connectors for high current up to 60A and more.
 tonytobar 82 points
So where on this site do I find the matching male plug?
 GHSTRCN 52 points
Search 4mm gold and they should be the 2nd item listed. They're sold in packs of 10 pairs, so you'll have extras but it is much cheaper than buying a few pairs here and there at your Hobby Shop.

Zippy packs are about to break the name brand batteries, im flying a Trex600ESP and im getting a good 4:30 min with mild 3d, the battery comes back with 22.9V and barely warm on the very few first cycles... no wonder this thing is already out of stock... im already waiting in line for a couple more.

Ultimate value for money. I bought two and am using the packs on a T-rex 600 esp. Half the price of other manufactures and worth every cent. Like all the other Zippy packs I own, it is real quality and produces excellent performance.

Really good battery for price. Have put deans connectors on no problem. Fits in my Trex 600e a treat. So far I've used the battery 3 times and have got about 7 minutes of hovering out of it so I'm happy. Have just ordered a second as the price has just dropped. Excellent service from Hobbycity.

The initial charge takes a while to get all cells balanced. Afterwards they balance fine.
After 6:30 minutes of sports flying (loops, rolls, turns, head speed: 2000 rpm) with a T-Rex 600 ESP I put 4000 mAh back in.
Perfect packs for a good price. Probably that's why they are out of stock most of the time. But it's worth waiting. Activate the email reminder by clicking the stock quantity number.
