These motors are ****. Bought 4 end 2 of them doesnt work.
David  6 points - 2/22/2013

This motor is realy wonder. I bought it four years ago and crashed it into water, dirt, mud, concrete... It is still working PERFECT... This is my favourite motor for sure!
Manmohan  24 points - 1/14/2013

how much thrust does a 8*4 propeller give with this motor and with a 3s lipo.
Tyler  4 points - 8/13/2012

What size bullet connectors does this motor come with?
 rcdude11 25 points
They look as though they are 2mm, however you can use any ones that you have.
 Adam 9 points
it comes with 2mm bullet connectors
 zeerards 19 points

 Manmohan 24 points

I bought 10 of these in july and 4 of them have blown out the front bearing on the first flights - anyone else having an issue with these?
shiham  60 points - 3/22/2012

I ordered this motor and the hextronic 24gram motor, but I received two "hexTronik 24gram Brushless Outrunner 1300kv" one was in hextronics box and the other motor was in turnigy box , but the same products I loved the beauty of this motor than the hextronics s h i t , They have sent me the wrong product , I cant wait anymore , what should I do ?

Anyone used this motor for a quadcopter? With a 3s battery for 1kg quad? Seems cheap enough.
 mena142 740 points
Yeah, this motor is just another version of the famous BlueWonder, i´ve used this motor as a replacement for my 1300kv bluewonder, 8x4 prop Quad and it worked just fine. This motor will handle a 3s just great. On a 8x4 and a 3S, this will pull about 370g, so 4 of them will pull more than 1kg. On a 9x4.7 it will pull almost 1 pound each. Good luck.
 wolfes1126 3346 points
I really wouldnt use these on a 1KG and more heavy Quad as the Thrust Ratio will be to small and under 2/1 get t he 28xx Series E-Maxx instead for 6.05 using a Buddylink, they have moire thrust and are more reliable.
If you like this iNfo please let me get credited.. thanks

Can i use this with TURNIGY Plush 12amp (2A BEC) BESC ESC?
 mena142 740 points
Yes, the amp draw with the prop range suggested and the battery suggested doesn't exceed 10a so you are pretty safe using a 12amp ESC. You shouldn't use a prop bigger than 9x4.7 with a 3S or you could burn the motor itself. A very popular setup is this motor with a 8x4(or 3.8) prop with either a 2S or 3S. Good luck!

is this motor suitable for a FMS mini warbird 800mm plane
 mena142 740 points
Go to RCGroups and search for it. Looks for someone who set it up with a 1300kv motor and do the same.
 Look4one 129 points
Yes, use a 10 amp ESC and 2S 800 mAH nanotech battery. Prop should be about 9x4.7SF
greeny  22 points - 7/7/2011

can i solder 3.5mm bullet connectors to this motor? the connectors i received with the package are too small for the ESC
 mena142 740 points
You can use any connectors you like, they all works as well. You could also buy the 24g Hextronik 1300kv motor which is exactly the same, minus the connectors and the shrink-wrap.
 roberted5 104 points
I just solder wires directly to ESC and use heat shrink, but the motor comes with a set of bullet connectors,2mm I believe.
 Manmohan 24 points
yes you can soledr the 3.5 mm conectors i did the same these conectors were too small for my esc

can i use this motor in f 22 foamie jet
 Rus 11 27 points
what size plane is it on and what type of flying are you doing? it sounds like you are using too much battery, weight wise, I fly mine on a 6 oz foamie and use a 500 MAH 3s Turnigy battery, my flight times are 6-8 mins. I don't think thrust is your problem, weight seems to be a larger issue

 mena142 740 points
Well, I think you are better off with a higher kv because of jets you will be using a smaller prop diameter, typically a 6x4 or a 5x5 so you will need the increased kv. There is a 1700kv version of this motor, I would get that.
greeny  22 points - 6/30/2011

does this motor come with the screws to mount the motor or do they have to be bought seperately?
 mena142 740 points
It doesn't come with the screws for mounting the motor. You can use the screws that come with servos to mount them on wood planes if you are not screwing them down...
 roberted5 104 points
A very popular motor mount for these is
PRODUCT ID: OR004-00602.
Weight is 0.1oz and you won't need any screws or the x-mount.
 Manmohan 24 points
no this motor does not come with screws to mount wit you can use small screws that come with the hextronic servos

will the GWS propellors fit on this motor?
 mena142 740 points
The shaft is the same as the Blue Wonder motor. I use GWS 8x4 props on this with a prop saver. The shaft does fit the propeller.
 roberted5 104 points
GWS RD props fit one side of the prop-saver,DD props the other. DD props have to be drilled for they won't fit over the 3mm shaft.
mena142  740 points - 3/28/2011

Been waiting 20 days for stock to arrive.
 wppaz 6 points
I also waited because it is an engine that is worth is very economical and strong my models is approximately 450g and I use this motor with a Turnigy esc of the 20th and a 3s 1300mAh battery, a battery life of 15 minutes flight.
cost-effective.

Shaft .....3.1 mm .... ?!?!?
There was 3 mm as metric standard, and 3.2 mm as english standard ( 0.125 in)...but 3.1mm is a new one.
 saotome 13 points
I think it meant 3.17mm?
 Skymixer 6 points
So, is it 3mm or 3.17mm shaft ?
Can someone check on the motor ?
Thanks.
 Dragevo 606 points
I got a few spare 3 mm prop savers, they are a snug fit to the shaft - so I'm pretty sure that it's 3.0 mm
 roberted5 104 points
It's 3mm shaft.
Teddytimo  22 points -

Dsicription must be wrong.
This is never a motor "For 450 size Helicopter."
