Can i put this in a wraith for balls to the wall speed?

Saludos

Can I use this motor with Velineon ESC (vxl-3s) on 3S battery? What is the Power(W) and Amps for this motor?
 davidpc2 225 points
Yes you can. The velineon has no limit turn motor, but in case, this 5.300kv on 3s should be about 60.000rpm, and it isn't as much for the velineon. But if you are planning to use on sc I would be thinking on a 550 can trackstar. Hope helps

is this motor coming with sensor cable??
 URBES 2 points
No and the motor is badged Mach1. But this one is very good for 2 WD and with a grat calibration from the ESC Turbo, timing...
DOGMATIX  5 points - 8/9/2011

is this motor more suited for a 2WD or $wd buggy?
 URBES 2 points
Hi
this one 8.5 can be used in the 2 class 2 and 4 WD. 8.5 in the 2WD (for me it's 20ie in the european championship). For the 4WD in the slippery track and short track it is possible.

Is this sensored or sensorless?
 boatrun 13 points
Hello it is with an inbuild sensor.
But you can use this also without sensor.
The run with sensor gives you a better and various timing during the run.
 jesus 6 points
estoy deseando que llegue,me da la impresion de que lo voy a disfrutar mucho, sus 4600 rpm, deben ser bestiales.

How does the power compare to a .15 glow engine ?

I've read the posts, but still don't know, IS IT A GOOD MOTOR OR NOT? Does it worth to buy for the money or better go for an EZrun 8.5T ?
 dung89_99 14 points
this is good motor.
 mdkwarhawk 80 points
this motor runs well stays cool and goes and goes i have seen used unsensored on sidewinder and traxass esc with no run problems u will be happy

Is there anybody Traxxas Slash/Stampede owner tried this motor? Will it run nicely with stock gears??
I'm really happy if someone tells about how it works with those cars.

Tested:
2 cell free 3800kv 28,100 rpm
3 cell free 3800kv 40,000 rpm
NOT timming adjustable
2 pole strong magnets
This motor will be good for 1/10 scale off road. It has alot of torque. Runs warm. Comes with turnigy labeling "mach 1" Timming seems to be set around zerow degrees.
 AmmoJammo 150 points
the part number on the box is "C54C-3650-8.5T

this suggests its a 3650kv motor, not a 4600kv, which explains your measurements.

HOBBY KING, YOU GOT IT WRONG! AGAIN?
 boss-fet 265 points
James... 3650 would actually be the can size. (3650 is a standard 550 size can) The specs are clearly incorrect as the timming is not adjustable and the kv rating is completely wrong.
 AmmoJammo 150 points
yeah... well....

its still a 3700kv motor! :p

and apparently Mach1, not Mach2.
 AmmoJammo 150 points
I've just measured mine using the Hobby King RPM meter... did 3400kv...

I bought this as an upgrade for a 3300kv motor!!!

STOP FALSELY ADVERTISING THIS HOBBY KING!!!

kindly change the description!!!

An RC-Car motor without cooling fins or the like?
I'll wait for the first reviews...
 Kenneth Ablack 220 points
Olaf the first Novak brushless came without cooling fins and they still perform up to today. You can also add a heatsink with or without a fan to this motor. At 37 bucks you can't have a better deal.
 Soorian 8 points
I currently run this in a drift car so at high revs, so it will get warm but never hot, and far cooler than most other motors i have run. 3 months in and still no problems at all with it.
Kenneth Ablack  220 points -

Judging from the picture if you look at the back of the motor you will see a plug for a harness the other end is supposed to connect to the esc. It seems this is designed to work with a sensored esc. Does the motor come with a harness? If so what esc will accept the plug from the motor harness. Come on HK we need more information.
 Soorian 8 points
this does work with a sensored esc and it comes with a sensor lead. Im using a turnigy 100A trackstar sensored, with it in my drift car and they seem to work perfectly.
Benraay  25 points -

What Kind of esc Does this motor need?
 BrushlessReady 32 points
any esc but a sensored esc would be best so like a novak sensored esc
 Futaba 237 points
60A ESC
 Soorian 8 points
60 would be a minimum really, Im running the 100A turnigyv trackstar, and it runs perfectly

I have brought 2 of these motors for my traxxas bandit and have destroyed both of them. They run well, but they run hot and then dont run at all. My brother has one for his evader, and has had it for awhile with no problems apart for bearings. But then again he only drives SLOWLYYYYYY.

Good, fast looking motor, Perfomance is rather lacking, They say its an 8.5T but it runs like a 11T motor.
The EZ-RUN 9T motor has way more power than this motor.
It should be categorized as a mild motor, HK should relabel these motors for what their absolute power output is
